Default Can you make you'r own generals rebel?

    Hi there.

I'm playing a Byzantine early campaign in N/N difficulty (H/H is stressing at the moment, I don't need a challenge yet). So, until now I've beaten the Seljuks, the Kwarezmians, the Italian republics and the Golden Horde is now my vassal. Turn 181, I'm really rich.

This campaign has been for now roleplayingly interesting (the enemy factions are not really an intellectual challenge, but as I said I'm not looking for a challenge). So, in the family tree there's the king, a chivalrous man. And his brother, the black sheep, a tough guy with 3 loyalty points.

To make things interesting, I used the console to set this guy's loyalty to 0. I wanted him to betray the Roman Empre. I gave him an army and moved him outta a city, supposing he would rebel and let me kill him. But he didn't turn agaisnt me. He didn't even lose movement points. Here, have a picture of the situation

So, my question is: Is there some way to make a family member rebel in SS 6.1?(Basileus mod installed)

PS: I hope my post wasn't excessively silly. Sorry if it was. I talked about the campaign because I thought it would be interesting for you, people. Thanks for you'r time.

Well, you can't MAKE someone rebel. I've had someone spend their entire life with actively disloyal, and "profane", from when they were about 22, all the way until they were 56, on a border kingdom with large unrest, wanting him to rebel, and he didn't, even with taxes set at very high, and no culture+ buildings. He died from Pneumonia - Khwarezmi forces attacked, he charged out, he had -3 hitpoints from various stat degrades, and managed to get himself hit by a peasant archers arrow 30 seconds in.

Everything is in algorithm for randomness in the game, you can't enforce what the engine has been told is random, I'm afraid. That doesn't mean you can't encourage it, though.

You can't get your generals to rebel. You can use the console to give your faction leader the "offensive to nobles" trait which can cause a civil war (which is the closest you'd be able to get), but even then if any settlements rebel, the general(s) get killed rather than being turned into a rebel.

Campaign difficulty affects loyalty and the disposition of your subjects. If you're playing N/N, chances are you won't get any rebellions until you conquer 2/3 the map.

could just cheat to give him negative loyalty traits, then put him in charge of a large army.

Strip him of his titles and then send him with a small stack to wander around the empire far from Constantinople. Don't fight with him, just leave him somewhere in the middle of the desert. That should piss him off.
