i'm playing a mod (RG) that has adoption candidates popping up elmost every turn, i remember in vanilla that didn't happen so frequently. is there a way to edit adoption frequency, and if so, how?
thanks in advance for all answers!

Adoption offers and marriage proposals are generated by the game when there are too few family members for how many regions the player faction has. No way to change the frequency. All you can do is mod descr_strat.txt so that there are more adult males at the start of the campaign.

...so that's why offers pop up each turn - my faction has just two family members and a dozen of territories. thanks!
Yeah, the frequency depends on the number of settlement and on the number of family members at the start of the campaign. That's why at the beginning of a seleucid campaign in any mod you get crazy accepting or rejecting all those adoption propositions.
Its not only the start of the campaign, its at any point in the campaign if the ratio of family members to regions is too low you'll get a bunch of adoptions.

Of course, of course...I took that as example..
I had this happen several times, the ratio seems to be family members =>1/4 of settlements number. So at 8 settlements and 2 family, the offers begin. But with CA unless you know the code, and for births/marriage..then this is only observation in my numerous campaigns. To confirm means altering family numbers in descr_strat and play testing say 10 games to get an average over 10 turns, perhaps????
