    Default Conflict

Can someone help please.I have Kingdoms Grand Campaign loaded. It plays great. But when i load Stainless Steel i get conflicts causing crashes.I would like to keep both games.

Can Medieval II be loaded twice on the same drive C.I don't mind having it loaded twice if it can.I have 1.5 Terabyte of space.

If this can be done, please can someone give instructions on how to achieve it!

You would need two different executables with two different directories.

It'd be too much of a pain in the ass to do trust me.

Could i not copy and paste the entire game to another folder naming it org. Then load a new medieval
II.Rename the bat files, one for org and then one for new install?

I really don't care how tedious it may be.I really want to do it.I like having several mods loaded but some conflict.Having them in separate MTW II folders would solve it.

No because there can't be two executables of the same type running. you'll get the "Medieval 2 has encountered an error and will now close."

If you try the renaming .bat thing and it works, (i'll be very surprised) let me know. Best of luck!

I believe he means installed, not loaded. He doesn't want to be playing both mods at the very same time, just be able to switch between them.

SS installs itself in it's own modfolder. It shouldn't interfere with other mods that uses their own modfolder. I don't know if Kingdoms Grand Campaign uses it's own modfolder, or directly changes files in the M2TW folder. If it uses it's own modfolder, there shouldn't be a problem using both mods on the same M2TW installation.
If it changes the M2TW files, then you should be able to install/copy M2TW into a new folder, and run each mod from a different installationfolder.

    Osdea7:

I had some problems installing the SS mod. For some unknown reason, I kept getting a crash-to-desktop when I tried to load the campaign game. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I simply kept re-installing, deleting, re-installing etc. until it worked. The steps I followed to get a successful install are listed below. I copied them from an earlier post I made when I finally had success.

Hurray! I finally had success installing SS 6.0 and the 6.1 patch! Although I haven't yet done more than begin a campaign game, it appears to be running without problem.

What I did is the following.
    (1) I uninstalled M2TW and Kingdoms.
    (2) I also uninstalled the SS components as far as possible.
    (3) Then I deleted the Medieval II Total War directory from my hard drive to make sure everything was gone.
    (4) I reinstalled M2TW and then Kingdoms. So I'm currently at version 1.03 with the Kingdoms patch that comes included with Kingdoms.
    (5) I lastly installed SS 6.0 parts 1 and 2 and then the 6.1 patch, selecting only the first two options (Real Recruitment/Real Combat and Byg's Grim Reality).

That seemed to do the trick.

    Hope this helps you.
