    Default Favourite Units

Appearance wise, what are your favourite units? Not gameplay wise, just purely from appearance. Which units really grab your interest?

For me, I'd have to say that its a tie between the Kievan Rus General's Bodyguard (love that full armour), and The Palace Guard.

    You?

Hrm...Lancers look really shiny. I also like the dismounted norman knights without armour upgrades...sword and buckler men without armour...the mongol units generally look great too.

For the moment though, I would probably pu tthe Turkish Ghulam Cavalry up first.

    Well let's see....

The Adulucian Spearmen {merc in spain}, Welsh Raiders {sword Merc In England} and the Max upgraded English Basic longbowmen. Those tunics and spiked helmet really do it. The English Hoblier and it's upgrades {the details} are eye catching as well... Oh ya..and the Tuetonic Heavy spearmen...Most impressive all that shiny...

    Ritterbruder-fully upgraded and mounted.

Position your camera so that the light hits them as they charge- It is a heavenly vision, god's angels of death sweeping across the battlefield in great wide gallops, fearless, unmatched, gallant (or corrupt, depending on your perspective) and completely, utterly, awe inspiring.

Then they run into some stakes you forgot about. MOTHERF*** !!!!

    Honorable mentions:
    Lancers
    Sicilian norman knights
    GOTHIC KNIGHTS.
familia ducale (spelling ?!) for some italian factions (venice or genoa, i forget)
And almost the entire english (very few exceptions) faction. the skins for it are some of the hands down best quality artwork in the mod, and thats saying something

I have to agree on the longbowmen - they are simply superb.

I admire good pikemen with armour upgrades.

I couldn't have won without Tercio Pikemen. I placed them in the spearwall formation at the gate, and they killed enemy cavalry and infantry, Musketeers caused fear.
I like good cavalry units such like Gendarmes and Dvor Cavalry very much, as well as solid infantry and effective missile infantry, especially javelinmen.

Fully upgraded Zweihander. Also, fully upgraded handgunner. Gothic knights, of course. HRE units in general. Very badass.

Also, the fully upgraded militia cav units from Italy. I love their beak helmets and kinda rinky-dinky looking armour.
