    Well I could have swore Adorno1 made a post on this earlier this year, anyway with all the ancipication about Gutekfiuted's Polished landscapes mod I figured we should bump this one too. Hey your buildings are in my landscapes! Hey your landscapes are in my buildings! Ok enough of my dull humor, I present to you Buildings and Castles and other various structures in full glorious entropy!

    Here is new version of this mod.
    Swadian buildings are of course included.
    Additionally vaegir towns are new.
    I also added some new castles.
    Castle walls are remodelled and there are 2 separate textures - for wall and for floor.
    So now this mod includes: swadian buildings, vaegir buildings, snowy buildings, 2 castle "sets", and some new props.
    It's not perfect, there are some bugs probably, but it's good enough.
    Now it works as mod, but also some files need to be replaced (castles and some props in CommonRes folder.)
    It should work fine with other mods, but this mod will overwrite SceneProps.txt, so this can be problem sometimes.
    I tried with The Eagle and The Radiant Cross, it was ok.

    There is no installer for this mod, you have to use your brain
    Readme explains how to install, however this is modding resource, not a mod.
    So you can install this in Native or most of other mods by hand.

    It's not compatible with previous version.

    God why didn't I try months ago! I'm having a problem with the install instructions. I'm confused about extracting the commonres folder as I have no commonres folder to extract to, and where to copy the polished_buildings folder? But this mod will be reason enough not to hit tab and actually enter the towns now just for the sight of it.

    I got it working, but only as its own mod. Here's how:

    - Copy the native folder and rename to 'whatever'
    - Go to the downloaded folder and open 'modules' > 'polished_buildings'. Copy the content and paste it into the new 'whatever' mod (click yes to overwriting)
    - copy the 'commonres' folder to the 'whatever' mod - just like that.
    - copy content of the textures folder to the one in the 'whatever' mod.

    Now open the module.ini file in the 'whatever' mod and change:

    scan_module_sounds = 0

    to

    scan_module_sounds = 1


    That should do it - worked for me (although I haven't tried any sieges or fancy stuff yet).

    I suppose it's the same procedure if you want it merged with an existing mod - except you have to copy the changes in module.ini file manually...

    Thanks Ad, but it seems a bit round about, and I must have this with other mods, so I need to play around with the instructions he has on installing to other mods soon.

    Lo and behold the older version works on my Rus XIII! I just didn't see it in the towns that I went to, I assume due to those not being part of the mod. I happened to just get a glimpse of it just before dying, I wouldn't have stopped in this city if I had not got mugged!

    Cool. It's only Vaegir and Swadian towns, and sadly I don't think he'll be working on the rest any time soon.

    Don't hesitate to describe how you did it, without screwing anything up (as I most certainly would)...

    Well I thought I followed the instructions, but they were confusing because of the wording, I assume English is not his native tongue. But think it just came down to copying everything to the mod directory folders where they belonged and moved the folders that didn't exist into the main dir of the mod folder I was in.
