    Default Bug report...

I'm playing as Rome, captured Arriminium and enslaved the population...
A message appeared: 'city expands, Capua'
I click on the magnifying glass icon and the building menu of the town opens...without a gouvernors' palace...
I had this bug a few times in other campaigns, and it is realy annoying...

    EDIT:

Captured Sardinia and enslaved the population, again message: 'city expands: Roma' again I clicked the magnifying glass icon and no gouvernors building!

It wont appear if you don't have the requisite marketplace level built.

Oww, so in RTR you also need a market?
well, that explains quite a lot...

Open the building panel and put your mouse over the buildings to see what you need to be able to construct them.

You need to make sure that the rest of the relevant infrastructure is built. As far as I'm aware it's just the market buildings.

Though how you managed to grow Capua and Roma so fast surprises me. I'm 20 years into a Rome campaign and I've only just got Capua to a Large City and Roma to a Huge City. Capua starts the campaign needing to be upgraded to a minor city if I remember correctly.

When you enslave the captured building, his population will be shared with your other cities + you get an extra trade product: slaves (it only lasts 15 turs or something), that's the hand cuffs icon you see on the campaign map.

I do this with all my captured cities, so that's probally the reason for my big grow...

Ah right I see. That would explain it.

I thought this would only increase the population in governed settlements. I remember in vanilla RTW using it to force a town to grow because I needed to increase the rate at which I produced troops and the settlement only had a population of 500 or so.

So I took the governors out of my two other cities and enslaved a few gallic settlements to grow the population a bit.

I'm a big fan of exterminating the populace of newly conquered provinces. I find the extra cash really useful, particularly in the early years of the campaign when you barely have 2 denarii to rub together.

Have you given Capua the Roman citizenship? I think that there's a limit to how big a city can get without it but I can't remember
