Default Real Time strategy city looks

    hi i have a question,

what about the city looks on the battlefield. I know from experience that the kingdoms city's are real hardcoded. since Europa Barbarorum II will be an Roman Era mod i suggest the city's must be change radical.

will the EB team complete on this where other teams haven't succeeded

    chears,

(ps: sorry for my bad english not my standard language.o and love what your doing with the game

Check out the Romani preview, They've managed to change the city models. Some screenshots are also included in that Preview. The new settlement models look great.

He means the appearance in battle I think! So far it is not possible to change the building structures of a settlement or at least it's nearly impossible to solve all the problems that would come with it apart from the fact all those issues are hardcoded...what could be done however is retexturing the already existing buildings.

We can certainly import new models into the battle map settlements. The real difficulty is creating new pathfinding for the AI, so at the moment all our buildings have to fit into the hole left by MTW2 buildings.

Now these are excellent news, I didn't know that it is already possible! But is it only for tech tree buildings like markets or for EVERY building in a settlement?

It seems that I was a bit too rash, currently we have not succeeded at this. But we are working on it.

just wait until KE and the other guys decipher the world editor. Then you'll see tons of new models/paths/terrains...this will be very important for the development of EB2 i think.

thanks foot for the info. King Kong (creator of SS and Third age) didn't accomplish to change the city looks yet (and from the records he have been modding for a while with kingdoms)

do you think its even possible?

I think its possible, because if they manage to edit the world files they'll be able to put any kind of structure there, so RTW biuldings won't be a problem. but i think you'ld like to put some very deteiled buildings there, so editing the RTW ones would be an option
