Saved game won't load!

My Med2 mod has played fine up until now. I was playing tonight and I pressed the hot key combo to quickly save my game like I always do. When I pressed it this time the game just crashed, so I went back to load my quick save and it won't Load at all, it just gets stuck at the loading screen and the bar doesn't fill up. So then I tried my autosave and that loaded but I got a crash to desktop. Is there anyway I can fix this? I don't wanna loose my campaign. Would a re installation help?

Can someone please help me? It has been a week and still no reply. Any help will be greatly appreciated, I put my campaign on hold until I get help on this post, not that anyone cares (I don't expect that). If someone can kindly provide some insight on this problem, please do because I know there are some of you out there who may know about this.

hi..i had the same problem once...i'm sorry to say but i don't think there's a solution for that..you just have to start a new campaign..

Perhaps you should try reinstalling as u said... That's the "less worst" alternative. I suggest u doing as follows: in rtw you can add the following command line to the icon of the game: -show_err, it's useful cause it shows the origin of the problem when the game crashes. This will give you an idea of what's happening (if you don't understand what i'm saying, just ask me again).

Anyway, the campaign file seems to be corrupted, so if that's the problem, it's a lost cause... just start a new campaign (with another faction, it will be more fun =D)

A while back i was playing as the english..and i had about 6 or 7 different saves from that campaign (i make a different save every 10 or so turns)...exactly when i pressed the save button to make another save (and i mean exactly in that moment), the power went off in my house...it came back in about 5 minutes, but when i tried to start the campaign again, i found out that none of my saves worked..they all got corrupted...so i lost that campaign, had to start over

Ge.. it seems it's necessary to make a backup folder with the saved files... I'll take it into account
