Problem recruiting new units

Im playing as this ghorids and i jsut took 2 ghanzi cities, 1 town and 1 castle. I cant seem to recruit any ghorid units out of the new cities, only cannon fodder units. I checked the building browser and apparently these are the only units ill ever be able to recruit out of those cities. Whats the deal? is there a way to get my faction units instead of these?

BC uses an Area of Recruitment system. In short, the recruitment of your native units is limited to certain regions, more often then not these regions are your starting regions.

but the ghanzi and ghorid is mostly the same. check if those settlements are in your AoR (look here). if they are and you can't recruit native units something with your installation is wrong. and what version are you using? the link above show the 2.02 AoR. if your still playing 2.0 it's different.
