Default give me tips on beating pyrrhos's army

struggling to beat this army as the start of the rome campaign on H/H . There troops are better man for man , they have more men and a better general . Not sure how to beat them . Flanking them don't seem to work as they have more men and more cavalry , and to be honest the one time i did flank them there units won and didnt rout even when being attacked from the front and behind , there units seem to easily beat my best troops.

Once i tried delaying the fight till i had more men , i cobbled together all my armies and outnumbered them by 1000 men , but its hard to take advantage by the way reinforcements work , and even then they just ground my men to the dust cause they seem impossible to rout. There general seems to be able to kill alot of men on his own , i tried surrounding him to kill him to get them to rout but even when sourrounded and being attacked by 6 units my men were killed by his troops before he died.

One problem may be i never play as roman's but the battle seems very difficult .

thanks that worked a treat . Just simply because there general stands in front of all the missile fire till he dies as they dont like walking up the hill and then they will rout . Shame it has to be done that way but i'm happy to take the win as i dont think its possible to win fairly.
