Loading Screen Question

So, I downloaded this mod (RTRPE) a couple of weeks ago and I've got a bit of an odd question.

I'm using the vanilla loading bar optional extra, and on the menu screen and when starting a new campaign, loading an existing campaign or loading between a battle and the campaign map Rome Total War superimposes itself on top of Rome Total Realism.

Is there a simple way I can fix this? Is there a way to uninstall the vanilla loading bar to see if that solves the problem?

I would be very grateful for any replies.

What version of RTRPE do you use? The simple one posted by Marcus Camillus or the mod switch one posted by Maced0n? Presuming you got it via the threads here. And where did you got the optional with the loading bar from?
Also, could you please post a picture of this?

Hi,

It's version 1.9 and the simple one (not modswitch). The vanilla loading bar came from the optional add on pack on the thread. It's just on the loading screen, I thought it was appearing on the menu screen but it wasn't. I'll try and post a picture later on as I'm at work atm.

Well that`s a bit weird. It should work fine. Not that I have ever tried that add-on, but I don`t remember anyone complaining of a similar thing. I`ll wait to see the picture.

Ah, I see what you mean now. Doing away with that extra logo should be saved game compatible since it`s just a cosmetic thing. But of course there`s never a bad idea to backup your saved games. Even if the change required may not seem problematic you may end up doing something else wrong. So make a backup to be safe.

The reason that happens is because the RTRPE loading screen has the RTRPE logo as part of the picture, while for RTW that logo was applied over the picture. The way they managed to avoid this addition in RTRPE was to edit the file loading_logo_and_bar.tga from this location: Rome - Total War\data\loading_screen and remove the logo from it leaving just an alpha space(invisibility). Apparently the person who made that optional add-on did not think of this. Download the file attached and overwrite the one you have(make a backup of that before) with it. Let me know if it worked.
