How to raise a Generals command rating?
The title says it all! My Generals always have low commander ratings. I don't know why this is because even when I conquer a town or a castle with him, his command rating doesn't change. The only thing that changes is his chivalry or dread. All my Generals have a command rating of 0 or 1. And I have about 15 of them in my family.

What submods/versions are you running? Can have a major impact on that sort of thing.

Generally, heroic victories will increase it.

I have SS 6.1. Thats the only thing.
When you outnumber the enemy by a lot, does that decrease the chance of your Generals rating going up? So itw always better if its a 50-50 battle?

Well as far as I know you won't be getting "Proven Commander" and such traits if you constantly kill units of 200 with a full 2000 odd army. I've noticed these traits usually come with heroic victories when the odds weren't in your favour yet you won with minimal casualties - I think they always accompany the "First/second/third/etc. Major Victory" trait.

You have a much greater chance of getting command stars when your generals fight battles where they are outnumbered.
