Default Replacing a faction's start poistion with another

Hi there, i'm new here to TWC and to the whole modding experience of Total War as well and I was wondering if someone can explain to me or direct me to a related thread in how to replace a faction's start position with another? I'm wanting to do this for Unspoken Knight's custom campaign mod 2 for the Tyronia under Kingdoms I assume. I want to swap over Spain's starting position (Island) with the Holy Roman Empire's position (North West Coast).

The HRE is my fav faction in the game and I just want to see how they would play starting off on an Island.
If anyone can give me an answer then that's appreciated.
    Thanks, in further advance.

For this you'll need the descr_strat in /mod/data/world/campaign/imperial_campaign.
Just copy the file (always make a backup) and then copypaste all the regions in the original from HRE to Spain and vice versa.

I'd recommend figuring out the x,y coordinates for the settlements, as you will have to move the garrisoned armies as well.

*Bump* Well I managed to replace the faction's start position for the Custom Campaign Mod 2: Tyronia, just not nearly there, instead I get a defeat message when the campaign starts. Any idea what i've done wrong? All I did was cut and pasted HRE info with Spain (descr_strat) which shows the list of settlements, and same for Spain for HRE, changed the faction_creator info from Spain to HRE and HRE to Spain etc etc. Finnally, what I did after was replacing the armies that the two factions they were given into their respective places and changing the coordinates around in the way they are meant to go.

If someone could help resolve this that would be appreciated.

If this issue gets fixed, I have another question.
How can I (on the faction selection screen) change the way where it shows the factions start, so like, swap over the area they control? I hope y'know what I mean...

Impossible to know without knowing your files, but do you get this message when starting with both factions or only with one of them?

These are external images and not created by the program in any way. So, you have to edit the respective images (I think they are in the .../imperial_campaing folder).

Only with one of them, kinda weird because starting with Spain, they are given 6 regions now, 3 have no garrison with the new ones but the other 3, the old ones, have garrison.

If I send you the descr_strat would you see where the problem(s) lie?

You probably need to double check the x,y coordinates of the settlements, and make sure that you don't have multiple armies in the same settlement.

I'm definately sure they're correct. I have swapped them over between the two.

If you upload it, I can look to see what is going on.

Nevermind, thanks for your help, I was wrong about the armies/garrison. Apparently I forgot to swap the coordinates around between the two, lol, again, thanks for your help!
