    Default DS Total War

I just got a little idea on something Creative Assembly can do for DS fans. I was thinkin about it cause I was playing M2TW on my laptop on the way to a UNC game.(WE WON, YEAH BABY) It went dead halfway through a 2 hour trip and i got thinkin.............

    Medieval : Total War DS
Battles on the go. Empires in the car. Total War in your pocket.

Medieval: Total War DS is a mixture of empire building and medieval warring. Conquer the world by force of peacefully obtain it. You will use diplomacy, trading, religion, stealth, and military strategy and might to forge a huge empire of one of 17 different factions.

Also there is the Kingdoms part of the game, where you play four different campaigns and wage war against your enemies.

Custom battles aren't new, but Custom Campaigns are. Make a map and fill it with towns and mountains and such. Use as many factions as you want. Make your own Total War.

I know what your thinkin now, how in the world will you put this on one little DS card. The answer is, you don't. Put 2 or 3 cards in the case to play:

Medieval: Total War DS: regular game

Medieval: Total War Kingdoms DS: expansion

Medieval: Total War Custom DS: customizable campaigns.

    THE GAME

OK. Well, the game starts off by putting one of the three game cards in. Then the Main Menu comes up on the bottom screen, while some gameplay montages from Medieval 2: Total War comes up at the top. Medieval Kingdoms DS has gameplay montages from the expansion.

Medieval: Total War DS Main Menu:

Tutorial: Learn to play the game by fighting battles and building your empire.

Grand Campaign: Choose one of the 17 factions and conquer the world through Total War.

Historical Battle: Lead the battles of history and forge victory.

Custom Battle: Make your own battles, either seige or just plain battlefield.

Library: Look at Campaign Victories, trailers, unlockables, cheats, unit and faction info, and replays in a virtual library that you walk around and pick books out from the shelves.

    Medieval: Total War Kingdoms DS

Tutorial: learn how to use special heros in battle and how to wage war in Kingdoms.

Campaigns: Open up the Campaign Menu which has the options of Brittania, Teutonic, Crusades, and Americas Campaigns.

Historical Battles: Lead a historical battle.

Custom Battles: make your own battles from Kingdoms factions.

Library: View all statistics from your games in Kingdoms(about same thing as Medieval: Total War DS Library)

Medieval: Total War Custom DS Menu:

Tutorial: Learn to use tools and such.

Custom Campaign: Play one of your custom campaigns.

Custom Scenario: Play custom historical battles

Custom Campaign Builder: Build Campaign Map

    Custom Scenario Builder: Build scenarios.

Library: same as other two games.

    Factions:
    Medieval: Total War DS
    England
    Scotland
    France
    Holy Roman Empire
    Spain
    Portugal
    Denmark
    Poland
    Russia
    Sicily
    Papal States
    Venice
    Milan
    Moors
    Turks
    Egypt
    Byzantine Empire
    Aztecs

PLEASE POST MORE IDEAS! PLEASE GIVE FACTION AND UNIT IDEAS! NEXT-FEATURES, FACTIONS, AND UNITS.

Theres already a shogun total war on ds, its not very good, and theres no room to improve it really due to hardware limitations.
    Edit:
Nevermind its not actully total war game, but try real time conflict shogun empires.

    Two words, pipe dream.

Well, I think it mite be possible....... Age of empires mythologies and civilization mixed together..... I'm sure they could come up with something good, even on DS. Maybe factions would just be half of those listed. But I agree, probably ain't happenin

PSP would be a better bet, its simply far more powerful, but ultimately handheld devices wouldn't be able to handle a tw game worth playing, units with under 20 guys each, ass horrible grahpics.. probably still lagging, a screen to small to really get a good view of command.

Not to mention the games cannot be pacthed after release........ Imagine if youd been stuck with etw version 1.0.

DS is about equal to a n64, psp a ps2, when u play a ds thou most of the games are 2d and could, for all intenseive purposoes have been snes games back in the day... a good tw game is impossible... maybe commanding colored blocks in representation of units... *shrugs* psp on the other hand is also still not quite powerful enough, and lacks a touch screen.... which would be a major bonus for a tw game.

Strategy games are not meant to be played on consoles. Period.

It's deffinatley doable, but it probably wont have good graphics. Either have great gameplay and sucky graphics, or graphics like age of mythologies ds, and suckish gameplay. I got civilization revolution for DS last night, and im sure total war ds would be like that, exept have the battlefield strategy(turnbased strategy on battlemap) and more options for diplomacy and trade.......
