Well the basic economic system so far is thus:

If you're a community faction you start with a community. This community itself can generate a limited number of supplies. However to expand your economy you need to set up outposts at resource rich regions (junk yards, fertile land, etc). Now these outpost generate supplies but to use the supplies you need to bring them back to your community. Thus supply convoys need to be protected, and you can raid another communities supply convoy.

Parties can establish outposts too and then bring them to a community for a cut of the supplies. Or they can work as mercenaries guarding convoys or bandits taking convoys.

A slight expansion, the resources that FRO thought of were Supplies and Fuel. I was strongly considering also adding in Food, because it doesn't matter how much scrap metal or gas you have if you can't even feed your citizens. If you have any suggestions or comments regarding this, feel free to say them.

    Whores should be a resource.

    Can't have enough whores.

The game should be set in Detroit.

If only because we can get real-life Post Apocalyptic images from that city.

I dont know if anyones heard of Necromunda, but an underhive setting would be pretty cool.

A hive is like a huge huge city that pierces the atmosphere of the planet, almost. The elite live in the top, and then things steadily get worse the further down you go; with the underhives being run by ruthless gangs/infested with mutants/monsters.

Then you get patrols of law enforcement. Could be cool.

We were thinking the US South-West, but a city like Los Angeles or New York City may be an option...

    Not the South-west again...

I guess for the major cities it depends on what the storyline is for how things ended up becoming apocalyptic. So long as boats are allowed in a New York setting I suppose it would be fine.

Supplies, fuel, and food sound like they cover just about everything, except for maybe manpower, though if communities will be small you would already know what it would be.

Detroit is nice because it has: The Great Lakes, The Grain Belt, The Rust Belt, HARSH winters, Forests, Canadians, and pretty much anything you want right there.

The southwest is nice because it is ALREADY a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Tho, personally I liked my idea of setting it in Italy.

Why are so many americans in italy? Well, thats a funny story...

Well there are American military forces in Italy. But the reason the US is chosen is because of gun ownership.

    Canadians
Please, not a Canadian faction. Anything but that.

Italy does have a lot of variables, but how funny of a story are we talking about?

    Heck yeah.

We could do the Appalachian Mountains. Nobody would think to bomb those.

Does it have to be a real world setting? Kinda limits things a bit.

Or even England! Then we could have pixies and Unicorns.

Although Unicorns are fast becoming endangered due to over harvesting for regular corn.

I'd prefer to do So-Cal. It's already mostly desert, so its perfect for post-Apocalyptic desert pictures, plus it has the ruins of urban sprawl mixed with sub-urbia, for the nice social commentary. Plus, I know the area pretty well, so that's always a plus.

I think that'd be the more interesting option. Setting it in America just makes it a copy of Fallout, in a way.

And for us Non-Americans... Well there isn't much appeal to the idea.

Dunno if any of you guys have heard of Necromunda, but i was planning on being a party loosely based on the ''Scavvys'' from that game.
