Quintus fella thanks for the quick respond.! Well i just finish redownload the game and reinstall and run your mod and it works now great...!! I just started a new GB Campaign and i even did not play the first turn i just sow it so i thing i am cool now. Btw to a lot of the nations that u choose it says something that the "Nation is not playable" and it says that for Great Britain but i started the campaign and i can see the diference to the UI and a lot of things and looking awesome. Iust have the need now to play again ETW and your mod that ETW i had to play years ago. I hope that i will be cool with the mod playing i hope for no CTD and thanks a lof for your hard work and dedication to bring us this mod...! I will post again if i find bugsor if i have problems. The sad thing is that it's a regressive CTD meaning it just keeps getting worse!! When I first started playing the mod with Hanover it first crashed on turn 20. Than I started again played new campaign with same faction and it crashed on 18th turn. Tried playing with England to see if it was just Hanover giving the issue and with England crashed on 8th turn. Finally tried U.S and it was the worse crashed on 5th turn. I saved all the campaigns went back to them and they still crash on same turn no matter where you start and it happens during the AI's turn. Please can the developers assist in this?

in my particular case the error came to me in the turn of the Netherlands (18 and 19)

Yes Quitus this last campaign that I played with the U.S it happened on the 7th turn during the AI's Poland-Lithuania turn. How can I go back 4 turns when it is starting to crash 5 turns into the campaign?? As I said in my last post it is a regressive CTD! It keeps getting worse when I first played the mod it took 20 turns into it before it crashed, than 18 than 8 than 7 than last one in 5. Rather with same country or different. I don't believe it is a ETW vanilla problem even though it is buggy as hek but it doesn't crash randomly during the AI's turn. Something is causing this crash for everyone it is not normal. Have played hundreds of ETW mods before some may crash but mostly in battles and later on issue is resolved. The difference with this bug is it crashes during the AI's turn randomly and random countries.

Ok, I would like to you to help find the reason behind this. First please switch of the mod in the launcher and verify the integrety via steam. Then please play a few rounds of vanilla ETW, just to see if the bug is happen in vanilla.

If not, please download this startpos.esf and add it to the IS_Files folder. Make a backup of your current startpos.esf before. Then try to play again. There might be some bugs with prussia but I can't avoid that for a moment (the army techtree was only added later). Tell if that worked. If not, I'll provide an even older version of the startpos.esf. Right know I'm only guessing what is happing because the bug is so random. I simply and sadly have no clue to what it is related to.

I will try to do the best I can to help, First where do I place this new startpos.esf are you sure it is in the IS FIle folder?? or In the campaign folder? Because the IS FIle folder just has the user.script with all the IS scripts it does not have the startpos.esf like the campaign folder does.

When using the launcher, click on switch and the ETW lettering will appear. Then all mod files schould be in the IS_Files folder. Of course you can first try to place it in the campaigns/imperial splendour folder but I wanted to be sure that, vanilla ETW was working. But do as you like, if you can play RotR just with the new startpos this would be fine too.

I used your different startpos, and it still crashes on that same turn. Should I start a new campaign? Or start new campaign with different country?

Yes vanilla is working so far went 8 turns to crashes, now going ot try with the new stratpos that you provided and switch to IS folder. Thank you!

that repairs several aspects of my operating system as well as errors in the system, although to be honest, I do not think this has helped me to eliminate the CTD R6050, but in part I help.


the problem is really related to microsoft visual software or also known as visual study, what I did was uninstall it and reinstall it, keep in mind that this operation took hours, did not erase ETW or modified any of its components, already installed the visual study , execute the ETW and personally I started a campaign with Sweden that lasted until turn 21 to get CTD, but as I said before I did not get the R6050 error, I just made the typical error.


Depending on your operating system, the visual study you must have or install, for example, if you have a Windows 8 inactive, you must install the 2015 version if you have a version of Windows 8.1 or higher, you must install the version 2017.

You know Quintas, if you are having a CTD free campaign, I am betting you have a file(s) that differentiate than what is in the installer. I make RPG Maker games on the side and I cannot even begin to tell you how common and easy a mistake this can be after compiling what you thought was everything.

(Just read your PM and looks like you have the same strategy. When I get home from work I'll give the new files a try one at a time until I can get a CTD free campaign in 20 turns. We will find the culprit!) - Although, it may be quicker if you find someone else who would like to test also, make a online excel file and divy up who tests what files with aim to making it to turn 20 with no CTD's

Well i play with the British i am in 1784 Winter or something i playied like 15 turns and CTD not the Error thingy.! I realy enjoied my campaign so far but i can't continue to play until u manage to fix the CTD problem or the Error with a solution, workaround. I think your mod is one of the greatest for ETW great job but with CTD is unplayable. Btw the CTD happened one turn after the Mugals declare war with me. I don't know if this is something to do but a lot of people have CTD. Anyways my rig is an I7/8770K 6 cores 3.7, Nvidia 1070 GTX 8 GB and 16 GB DDR4/2600.! I don't think that is my rigs problem and i play and i am cool with TWA - Age of Charlemagne/Last Roman Campaign, Rome 2 and Warhammer Very high/Ultra High settings with a lot of mods and working great..! I hope that a solution will emerge.! Btw sorry for my not so good English i tried my best.

Hi there! I did also manual installation, because of the installation fail. But names of new units are still missing? Is there some file missing?
