    Well, I did a clean install of Empire and now I'm just trying to get RotR. I downloaded and extracted everything, but now I can't find the empire script that I'm supposed to change. Is there any reason why that would suddenly vanish? It was there before, but, for the life of me, I cannot find the thing. I'm not saying it was aliens, but...

    For RoR, I would advise using Mod Manger. Downloads: [on the forum] [SourceForge].
    It is very easy to use and I have never receive any complaints or problems from other users of the mod.

    my mod dont load, it just starts normal empire and i did everything right

    If you use the launcher within the IS folder, you do not have to worry about script.

    Playing a custom battle in RotR i noised that the bicorn hat (i think thats what they are called) have pink patches on the sides it looked a bit wired so i think that is a bug. The battle was between Sweden and Spain.

    Hi, I just downloaded Rise of the Republic today and I think it's an amazing mod. But I ran into a problem when I played as France and tried to make peace with Britain by offering them money. When I put the peace option and offered 4000 gold, the game crashes.

    I tried other diplomatic options with other nations too. Like trade agreements and offering money and things to other nations- those all worked. When I offered peace to Britain they declined it and nothing was wrong. It seems like the game crashes only when they're about to accept my offer. I switched to a Britain campaign and did the same thing, offering peace to France with some money, and the game also crashed.

    I would love to play this game and really think this mod is amazing but I would really really like a way to make peace without having my game crash! Could anyone please help?

    Have you try uninstalling and reinstalling the game? It is possible the game became corrupted. If it persist, then it can be a coding issue.

    Hi, I just made a clean install of Empire and IS (2.2.1b) and there is annoying problem that I can't find solution.
    I am missing some unit names, mainly artillery. Some nations have all names for all artillery except mortars, some have for half of them and other don't have at all.
    Is it known issue? Is there any fix for that?

    I believe that is the case, especially with artillery. The bigger problem is that the previous development team kept in the vanilla artillery when they added IS' artillery, so it can flood the queue.
    This is just one more thing I will work on with my beta campaign changes.

    hello all, first of all AMAZING mod, love your guys work, was playing APE:TI which i love and makes the campaign immersive but this makes battles so amazing ,and the units are awesome, you guys have done a great job. I wanted to know if someone could assist me in making a startpos, that allows for 4 tpy , i edited all the unit, research and build times to fit this style of play for personal use, as i feel it can give factions even more diversity, ie( russias lack luster line inf, building slightly faster, while england builds ships faster etc) still playing around with this, but everytime i edit a startpos , calendar i get an error that i did something, wrong (all i did was change first line from 1 to 4) and it wont work, get a CTD every time. Anyways thanks for helping, and sorry for blathering on.

    The limit is placed on special/ elite units based on historical records. You should be able to recruit as many militia and regular line units that you can afford within the game mechanic.

    This is easy enough assuming you didn't make any custom changes to your (IS) startpos. I won't have time until the weekend.

    Everyone knows that about special / elite units.
    In case I repeat myself: I can no longer recruit "any units at all". Very weird.

    I understood the first time. There is nothing in the mod that restrict recruitment of units except special/ elite units. Even if we did, it will be seen the in the recruitment queue.
    What you can do is save the game, then destroy a bunch of units, run a turn, and see whether or not you can recruit. If you still can't, my best guess is that your game is corrupted. If you still can't recruit, it can still be corrupted, but it is also possible there is an hard coded limit that cannot be change. If that is the case that would be very interesting.

    Uh ... I did 3 more turns and "suddenly" the recruitment of units reappeared ... Weird ...
    Is there a submod which allows to "activate / deactivate" the Grenadiers at the choice of the player? Or should I do it on my own via DBEditor?

    I am not sure what you mean? Do you mean activate Grenades for grenadiers? If so, I would say no since the vanilla game has grenades for grenadiers already. Most mods, deactivate it. We deactivate it because it is NOT historical. I use PFM, and it is as simple as ticking a box.

    I mean the option to enable or disable grenades for grenadier units, as DarthMod proposes, for example.
    I know it's less historical, but it would be nice to leave this option to the players.

    Imperial Splendour focus is to create a historical accurate game within the limits of the game engine. We are not Darthmod. To be blunt, we are not concerned with choices for the player. When a player chooses IS, they are choosing a historical based mod.

    Since the game is imperfect of its portrayal of the period, there are areas where historical accuracy can be a question of perspective. We invite input from everyone and consider all options.

    You are welcome to share your thoughts about general interpretations here and anything specific to factions here.
    We also invite fans to share any mods they think would enhance their enjoyment here. You may also post your own submods as well. You are welcome to create a submod that give grenadiers grenades if you like.

    if you installed everything correctly, the mod files was installed in a folder called "IS" Within that folder is a exe file. You need to launch the mod using that excutable file and not the vanilla executable file.
