Default Stainless Steel and Steam...a tale of futility.

To begin, I have searched the forums for an answer but came up with nothing conclusive regarding the Subject.

I have a CD version of M2TW and a Steam version of Kingdoms running on Vista 64. I've tried installing into the Sega folder as well as the Steam folder both yielded no favorable results. I get crashes anytime I try to run SS.

Is my only option getting a retail copy of Kingdoms?

First of all... why have the cd version then steam kingdoms =P

To answer your question i got m2tw+kingdoms over steam(both on steam tho) and it is annoying but it cant be done.

Your situation is more complicated and iI think you have to go into the registery and stuff. Check that thread and http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=132197

They are for retrofit but they should be the same principle.

JUst posted that incase any techy-savvy people were still clueless.

    Hi!
That problem also bugged me, since none of TWC modders seems to use the steam version then there is no obvious fix for it.

But, can you please put this .exe file inside mods/Stainless_steel_6 and try to run it? It has to be inside specifically the Stainless_steel_6 folder, if you have ss installed in a different folder then just give me the path and ill recompile the exe. I have no idea but this can maybe solve the problem.

If your afraid of viruses, check the file on virustotal.com.

    BTW numnutz6383,
Did you use the kingdoms launcher? Under the play tab except kingdoms mods there is also a button to launch SS... curious if it didn't work for you.
