Warpath is currently the No. 7 top selling item on Steam (Empire is at No. 5) and a few days ago I saw Warpath at No. 5 and Empire at No. 3. So I think it's safe to say that a LOT of people have bought it!
It's also safe to say its absolute pants as well
I got given it for free, but whatever.
As I write this review i weigh up all the pros and cons, but whenever I look at the cons list, do you what i think?
It was £5.99
I really like it. My only complaint is the restriction on playing non-native faction. I'd have liked to have a go as Spain or another power.
Nope. Didn't get it. Won't get it. My heart can't take seeing another attempt by CA to portray Native Americans.

And you know this because...?Steam manipulates the records to show up newer games. If TF2 showed higher than a brand new game out, that new game might not host their game on steam in the future.
I bought it. No complaints here, it's different and enjoyable.
Its fun I just wish all nations were playable
I understand you bother, but if you haven't noticed, in the Grand campaign and in RTI, the native american AI is a pushover, with your guns, cannons and line infantry its made even easier. Thats why I think playing the native americans is da blimmin point of warpath, they're actually a half decent challenge to play with, this is what makes warpath so enjoyable, I don't believe powerhousing the natives with advanced factions will give much fun.
I bought it. It was somewhat entertaining and cheap but still barely worth the price. I'd prefer expansions to, well, expand the main game. In the Total War series the main game is the Grand Campaign. If anything the expansion is a step backwards as the player is restricted to a single theater, linear technology trees, no administration options, and inability to interact with the ocean beyond creating indefensible trade routes. The Amerindians could have at least stolen a boat or something.
"I will follow the white man's trail. I will make him my friend, but I will not bend my back to his burdens. I will be cunning as a coyote. I will ask him to help me understand his ways, then I will prepare the way for my children, and their children. The Great Spirit has shown me - a day will come when they will outrun the white man in his own shoes."
Too bad for Many Horses that Creative Assembly disagrees about what his people are and are not capable of. It couldn't even happen in a game where the player rewrites history.
I dunno. Once they research the Ambush technology they might be even more effective than modernized AI opponents. At least the player won't be able to see many of its common blunders![]()
Yes I did. First I didn't like it but now I seems to enjoy it.

Yeah, it's a really varied campaign. Loads of fun![]()
Well apart from the fact that there are quite a few pretty strange design decisions like that the native bowmen are almost useless but more expensive than a melee unit it's alright.
I also bought it because it's an easier testbed for modding, anyways.
Bowmen, if used correctly and placed correctly are lethal. I keep my bowmen just behind my line of musketmen, so any cavalry or melee infantry that charges my musketmen gets a rain of arrows on top of them, 3rd line is my melee who then charge into combat while i pull musketmen out (usually everything gets destroyed before they even touch the core of army , especially since most melee can throw their axes aswell.
Besides they are only more expensive than normal Tribesmen and thats pretty obvious eh? My best melee unit cost x1.5 what bowmen cost.
Anyway, i cant understand why ETW needs patching? its been fixed long time ago and was very playable from the day 1 and Warpath is great addon for good price and lots of fun with lots of new cool looking units.![]()
So is the consensus that Warpath is worth the $9.99? I want to buy it, but I'm not sure how good it is or if it's worth the $$. Any chance of it going on sale anytime soon?
Let me persuade you with my powerful logic skills.

The Heavenly City outshines Rome, beyond comparison. There, instead of victory, is truth; instead of high rank, holiness.
