    Default Bodyguard's unit card CTD

    I'm consistantly getting a non-specified CTD but I think I've narrowed it down to the general's bodyguard.

    For some reason when I add the ultimateAI V1.3 mod to my game it will start to CTD every 20 turns or so.
    I started to poke around and found that if you try and look at the general's bodyguard (click the little blue icon on the bottom left of a general's card), the game will immediately drop. So far, this has happened for every general of every faction I've checked in the game. The weird thing is I haven't added any mods that add new units and I haven't modded the general's bodyguard units either.

    The bodyguards are assigned properly, ie. NE_bodyguard assigned to a faction that can build that unit etc.
    I haven't changed any of the text/descriptions for them either.

    This is totally ruining my MTW2 gaming expeience.

    Does the system.log.txt have any clues in it?

    No.
    Unspecified CTD's give no notice as to what's wrong.

    I did just copy the vanilla info for NE_bodyguards into my export_descr_unit mod file and now I can see the unit cards without it CTDing...so that seems to be the problem.

    My question now is, what in the export_descr_unit file would cause this?
    I want to keep the modded information in this file without having to manually edit it line by line but something in it is obviously causing harm.

    I've attached the un-modded and modded versions of this file.

    Your armour upgrade levels are set too high that's why it's crashing, change them back to these settings and you will be able to upgrade them when you have built the correct armour level building.

    So if I wanted to make a unit stronger by allowing it to be upgraded for more armor than the vanilla game, I would do something like this?...

    Strictly speaking, no. You would have to edit the model to give them plate armor and create a new battle_models entry for the new upgrade. With that setup they would get an upgrade from the partial plate armourer but they would look no different.
