Can i unlock, the extra factions in kingdoms?

I know you can't just simply move them in the decr_strat, but can i somehow make factions like:

France/England in Americas.
Norway in Teutonic.
Or maybe Venice in Crusades?

I tried a little bit myself though i havent got a clue about modding.
In the crusades i copy/pasted Venice into the playable section, and then i added Northern/Southern cyprus to their starting settlements, with a leader named Valentino.

Now, it didn't work (i didn't expect it to ayways) but can i somehow mod it myself, or is it simply too complicated for a n00b like me?

I had a play around with it too but I couldn't get it to work either.
I'll have another look around, If I find one I'll post it.

Umm.... Norway works by moving it in the desc_strat, as for the others, they are spawned after a certain amount of turns, so maybe give them a city in the desc_strat and remove the spawning units later on.

I'm pretty certain there's been mini mods to enable all of those factions as playable. Have a search around the mod threads forum.
