    Default Animation not working

    hi peeps, i have extracted and edited an animation for my arquebasir unit, i wanted to make the reloading shorter and change it for my mod.
    the animation is in the game but the character goes crazy and the joints go all over the place.
    is there something i am missing?
    i have extracted, animated, exoprted then replaced the original .cas with the new one, if that helps.

    I wouldn't recomment that method, use the info here to setup your modfolder for using unpacked animations, then basicly use the SLERP function in GOAT to shorten the anims you want. Your men will still look crazy though, so why not just comment out the re-load all together?

    ah cool idea, i feel so rediculous with all this, but how would i comment out the reload?
    is it in one of the txtx files?

    Descr_skeleton.txt
    You have to follow the instructions in the link I gave you closely or you will get nothing but a CTD. To comment out a line in any text file, just place a ; at the begining of the line, the game then ignores anything on this line. You can place the ; mid-point in a line also.

    well i'm not getting a crash to desktop, all thats happening is the animations on the reload are funny, putting ; infront of all the reload animations in the Descr_skeleton.txt didnt do a thing.
    so i replaced all my animations with the original files to start fresh,
    but the problem is still there

    How have you modified the anims, and why comment out all the reloads when your unit only uses one for its missile weapons?

    i comented all of them out one by one, but not a single reload anim for musket or arquebasier was cancelled out.
    i extracted the .mesh file for my unit, arquebasiers. and then combined them with the MTW2_Arquebus_attack_missile_reload.cas (this seemed to be the animation i wanted different)
    then opened them with 20fps and kept the first frame of animation and deleted the rest, then shortend the animation to 25 frames long. Then i animated the joints (rotation only)
    the character in milkshape moves fine.
    then saved and exited then using the goat tool, i changed the .ms3d back into a .cas then replaced this new .cas with the original one in my mod folder.

    And deleted the pack files before re-launching the game?

    yeah, i did that the first time around to make the new animations. but if it creates them again in a sub folder each time, then no i havnt.

    You have to delete them from the /animations/ folder each time you make any change there.
