    Hi
I'm kind of confused about two things:
    1. what do I do with the descr_model_strat? Where do I overwrite the file?
    2. What's the difference between the two 4TPY scripts? Whats the difference between set alliances and not set? In set alliances, do you start with alliances and can break them, or you can't break them?
Sorry I'm kinda a stupid noob in these things.

I have this issue when playing the game. I installed the mod, then applied the non alliance scripts, then the BGR mod, then the sound mod, and set the shortcut to the right place. Also, I applied the preferences included in the mod. When I start a 463 campaign game with Rome Western, the turns keep rolling by, like they do when you press end turn. Except, it doesn't give me a chance to even play even a turn. The Al is even controlling my country. Any answers how to fix this? Did I install it wrong? Did I apply any scripts to the wrong place?

This is the left in ai to watch the game play out..for modding
    Just remove it

    example:
    Target: "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -show_err -ai -mod:rio

    Remove the -ai
    Target: "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -show_err -mod:rio

Interesting, but dangerous. I have BI 1.6 and Ive downloaded BRG III 4 or 5 times but I still get the 2702 line 34 error. Why?!!!?

Something isn't(files) copying over correctly assuming you havent modded or changed any orig files in your bi or rtw mod. Sometimes the computer will not allow it(vista an example)

-disabling uac would be only for the mods installation

I havent modded or changed any files, and I install to creative assembly because the Activision filepath doesnt work.
My computer is very old and is slightly messed up. (Microsoft word and other office programs dont work, but every game I have installed works fine)
Ive installed other mods without any conflict, but why isnt this one working?

    Hi Rio,
I just installed BRG III on a new laptop. It looks fine except that I don't have the full battle menue on the bottom of the creen.. For example, I cannot speed up the battle. However, the hour glass and radar map are on the top of the screen. Do I need to adjust the resolution? Thanks for any help.

    Hi Lioneljoe

That I believe can be adjusted in the preference file..I'll look into it today and for BRG IV I'll change it..was sort of an experiment

Also install the Assimilation patch along with the added file after that..adds a great deal

Thanks Rio... What I am trying to do is control the speed of the battle. I normally run at tripple speed. In the old battle map interface the toggle to control the game speed was in the lower left of the battel map, next to the radar map and the hour glass. Can I restore it or toggle the game speed during a battle? Thanks!

Thanks for your hard work Rio, I'm sure this is another great(er) job but, unfortunately, I'm not able to experiment yet, because of the shortcuts. Since the installer don't create a shortcut in the desktop, I went to the rio folder to get one of the shortcuts, I copy the "CA" shortcut to the desktop, change the target to - "D:\ROME TOTAL WAR MODS\installs\Rio's IBFD BRG IV\RomeTW-BI.exe" -show_err -mod:rio - but I get an error "Generic Error: Could not read file 'Data/descr_strategy_lighting.txt'. Sorry, I may be doing something wrong...again! When you have time, can you tell me what I should do? Sorry, thanks friend.

Yes absolutely..We will figure it out..I have for some reason come across this issue when changing the target from "C:\Program Files to "D:\ROME TOTAL WAR MODS.... I'll move this to installation issues ok

    EDIT:
-Just be sure there isn't another mod on your system that hasn't modified those files already
-If your sure of that try reinstalling the mod several times..This has worked for some with this similar issue for some reason

I downloaded BRG IV and the .exe won't even launch

Windows message : This File contains invalid data.

I'm quite sure this is another Vista64 issue but that's a real pain.

    UPDATE : A Glorious Victory !!!

After re-DL the file, the .exe finally worked fine. Therefore, my conclusion is that the 1st DL was incomplete.

For all viewers, this can happen :
    - If the server where the file is stocked is overrun.
    - If you intensively use your PC (online applications) while doing multiple DL.
    Those were my mistakes.
