Lags more than etw

i installed yesterday this mod (very good one!) and in city battles and in normal batlles rome lags much more than mtw2 or etw. So is there any way to make it lag less?

Edit: i have vista, but not installed to progman files

Post your system specifications and the graphic levels that you are trying to play the game at.

if you have Unit Detail set to Highest, i would recommend setting it to High. you still enjoy the same quality when you're zoomed in and gain a TON of FPS. zoomed out, i found that the sprites do not make much of a difference when it comes to pleasing the eye.

Well the specs are :
inte core 2 quad q6600 2.4ghz with 8gb of ram and nvidia geforce 9600 gt

The windows vista rating system gives my comp 5.1

RTW does not use multiple core - don't forget the game was released in 2004.

You've not posted the graphic settings you've selected as requested......

I play with highest settings.

Take the unit detail down from highest to high. The only difference is that Highest stops using sprites which adds a hell of a lot more work for the computer.

Strange... I'm playing RS2 which is much more power hungry and it runs fine on my old system Core 2 Quad Q6600 with 4GB of RAM and BFG Geforce 8800. RS 1.5 should be flying on your machine, there is something else that might slow down your system not only the graphic options.

You mean Anti Virus? its F-secure client security 7.10
And i can field more than 20000 men in a battle in mtw2 with highest settings...

Any suggestions for a better free antivirus progman?

I seriously doubt that an anti-virus program is clashing with a rtw mod but not m2tw or etw for that matter. If your not sure you could always temporarily disable or anti-virus program and try running the game. Other than that I can only think of lowering your graphic settings...
