    Icon9 Problem with faction flags

So I'm having a little bit of a problem with KGCM. Certain factions like Lithuania, and Kingdom of Jerusalem, Antioch, Teutonic Order (I think all the ones that were added with Kingdoms) aren't displaying their flags in my diplomacy screen or whenever an announcement comes up. Their flags are replaced by a 1 which is unclickable in the diplomacy screen. I've patched to 4.1, I'm running Vista, and my version is from steam which is probably the problem but otherwise it's running perfectly.

So, any ideas? Thanks so much in advance

    Taken from my FAQ thread.
    Q. Missing faction symbols for Vista users?
    A. The patch does not install properly on Vista. What you need to do is install the patch onto your desktop and then manually copy the files to the KGCM mod folder. Example SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data. The new faction symbols should now display correctly.

Thanks Dave, but I should've mentioned that I've done that, and I've tried reinstalling it as well. I'm really confused as to why it doesn't display correctly. Anything else that could possibly be doing it?

    Thanks very much again

Corrupted download maybe? if I were you I would download KGCM 3.0 again with anti virus protection turned off. Test, and then reinstall KGCM 4.1 as well. The mod does display correctly for everybody else so I can tell you that this is because of a bad installation either way.

Ok I'll try that, if it doesn't work I'll just learn to live with it, not exactly a gamebreaking issue.

    Thanks dave,

No, this is not acceptable to me, the faction symbols should be working for everyone.

Please let me know if downloading the mod again and reinstalling it helped.

Hey sorry it took me forever to reply, been crazy busy lately. Reinstalling hasn't helped I really wonder what it could be. I've reinstalled everything, including the game. I don't understand why it doesn't work. I suspect I might be unique in this, haven't seen anyone else respond with the same problem.

I think I know why now, follow the instructions again below to the letter.

    Q. Missing faction symbols for Vista users?
    A. The patch does not install properly on Vista. What you need to do is install the patch onto your desktop and you will see a Medieval II Total War folder then manually copy the files to the KGCM mod folder . Inside this you will find a data folder and a mods folder. Now the files you want are in the Medieval II Total War\data\ui folder. Copy all the 3 SD files from here and paste into SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\ui folder. You now have the display fix in the correct place.
    Best of luck!

when i was doing new SD files to add factions to the game i found if i mapped the tgas wrong the result was instead of a faction symbol showing i got a 1 visible instead of say englands symbol is this what your experiencing ?? if so themn it may be bad download of the sd files ( i have found there very touchy suprisingly ) try extracting this to your kingdoms grand campaign file

edit for some reason i cant seem to upload the SD files can some one load up there SD files from the ui folder of a working KGCM mod or you could if you have the tuetonic campaign unpacked copy and paste the ones from there into your KGCM as there the same

Edit 2 ok today it let me try these and see if this changes it mate
