    Default Suggestions and Strategy?

Alright... Well, I refuse to give up. Even if the cards are stacked. I might lose, but im going to do it in the most bloody way possible, lol.

Heres the situation: (ill post the ss of the current world map below)

I am greece. I find myself at war with almost everyone of importance except Carthage, Germany, and Illyria, who are neutral, and Gaul who I am allied with.

Lets take it bit by bit:

Italy/Sicily: I have 2 stacks on Sicily, so im not expecting Carthage to attack. I have a stack and a half poised at Roma, and seriously think I'll make a push next turn to take Roma, Ancona, and Ariminum. Im not sure I'll be able to hold against the numerous stacks rome has up north fighting the Gauls, and on and off with the Illyrians. I will be able to take them though.

Greece: Everything from Greece to Bylazora is fine. Every settelment has a family member and all can produce hoplites at the least. Ratiaria, Lazyges, Getae, and Sarmisegetsu are.. a drain. Worth nothing financially, and forcing me to leave a lot of troops garrisoned to avoid revolt.

    Asia Minor:
A pain... Armenia has Trepezus seiged, Selucids have Eusebeia seiged, Ptolemics have Side seiged. I am seiging Tarsus, lol.

The map below is about 2 turns out of date, but pretty current.

Anyway, anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what to do? Diplomacy is out of the question, all the other cross alliances have truly ed me. I cant ally with anyone, and no one really wants to end any of the wars.

Should i pull back from the Northern territories around Lazyges and just leave my front line as Tylis and Bylazora? Should I pull back in Asia minor, and if so to what point? Should I send an army by fleet somewhere?

My current plans are simply to keep supplying greecian troops to Asia minor until all those worthless territories (I slaughter alot) are up to par and can defend themselves? Sicily and Italy will be fine as long as Carthage stays vested in war with Gaul I think.

I am nearly, but not yet, overwhelmed by the sheer amount of enemies against me.

Use that if all the settlement references are confusing.

for rome i suggest u send an army to erase roma (bludgeon the people and erase all buildings) if you're able to do it also push back north to do the same to his major cities.
About asia minor, if you have not enough soldiers, build more near byzance, and try to rsist as long as you can in the cities that're endangered. Before they take these cities, destroy all military buildings.

When you got your armies ready take your cities back

    That's what i suggest ^^

First of all, nice map (the one from the link)^^
    Now my idea:

In RTW, I conquered Italy by sending 3 fleets ful of armoured hoplites (and one with spartans) to their coast.
Oversea attacks are a good way to surprise them, if you want to defend, do what the Romans did - send your army to your borders. (this is not ideal for a long time, but can destroy big army's and can clear a path).

Eliminate opponents is what I recommend. Taking out the roman faction would help a lot I imagine as then on that side of the map you would only have to face barbarian troops.

Secondly, nations seem to have a compulsive need to attack when they have a shared border and they have no other wars. If you are at war with Armenia and TSE and just want to hold rather than extend that front then try to take cities and defend against the one nation but give those cities up to the other effectively eliminating the border with either Armenia or TSE if that makes sense. So for instance if you wish to create a stable border with a single faction in Asia minor I would let Armenai take the following cities creating a barrier between me and the TSE.:
    Eusebeia, Eupatoria, Tarsus, and Pharnacia.

After that getting a ceasfire with TSE might actually last and TSE would probably go on to create another conflict with the Egyptians, Bactrians, etc.

The problem in your campaign is that you are probably fighting too much. From the looks of the map you are being attacked on 4 fronts as you share 4 borders with hostile nations (Germania, Rome, TSE, Armenia). Try cut that to two fronts if possible. Getting Illyria between you and Germany and Armenia between you and TSE is the way I would do it. That way you only have to defend against the stacks of two nations rather than 4. It will cut your battles significantly allowing you to focus on one or two enimies at a time. I would then elliminate Rome as they are dangerous oponents and just hold a stable line in Northern Italy which is a very easily defensible front.

After that you need to decide on your victory conditions. What do you want out of this??? If the normal victory conditions of Rome and 50 provinces then its easy. If you want to dominate the world and be the last faction standing then try eliminate oponents one by one starting with civilized factions as the longer you leave them the more teir 5 cities and units they will reach where the barbarian factions can only ever get tier 3 so you can leave them till last.
