I'm trying to learn of some 'native' names of medieval states. I've found some names, but I'm not sure whether they are correct or not. And correctness is above all, since I want to use these names in my installation of Broken Crescent. That's why I ask you, guys, to check them.
Action of the mod is set between 1174 and 1400. I'm interested in names from the XII c. only (The Mongols are an exception). Here's the list of factions and my research.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The Abbasid Caliphate al-Khilafah al-Abbasiyyah (I've found it on some translation forum, I guess it's the modern name?)
Great Seljuk Empire Dawlat-i Saljuqian (that's in Persian? I guess Seljuk were using Persian as an official language?)
Turkish Sultanate of Rum Saljuqian-i Rum (as above)
The Khwarezmian Empire Khwarezmshahian
Imamat of Oman Imamat 'Uman (it's the name of modern Imamate, I couldn't find anything else. Is it even proper for medieval state?)
Malikhate of Sindh Sumra (I didn't find 'Malikate of Sindh' anywhere, so that's my choice, just the name of the ruling dynasty)
Kingdom of Jerusalem Regnum Hierosolimitanum
Eastern Roman Empire Basileía ton Rhomaíon
The Ayyubid Sultanate Eyyubiyun
The Ghaznavid Empire Dawlat-i Ghazneviyan (that's my construction based on analogy to 'Dawlat-i Saljuqian'. Is it proper?)
The Ghorid Sultanate Shansabani
Kypchak Confederation Dasht-i Qipchaq, Kipchaklar (first is Arabic name, second is in Turkish. Which one to choose?)
The Solanki Rajputs Solanki/Chalukya, I have no idea how to name that state in hindi (?). Someone? Though I guess it can be only: Solanki.
Kingdom of Makuria al-Muqurra (It's Arabic, because I didn't find any transliteration of Makuria's Old Nubian name...)
Kingdom of Armenia Giligiov Haigagan Takavorutiun
Kingdom of Georgia Sakartvelo
The Mongol Empire Ikh Mongol Uls (I have my doubts on this one, since I guess it's a modern name and in the beginning of their conquest of Central Asia in 1220s it wasn't an empire...)
