I know it is really easy to turn off lucky nations before a game starts but is there a way to do it once you have started a game. I searched the save file for the word luck and changed it from luck=yes to luck=no at first. That worked for a little while but then at some point the game changed it back. I also tried deleting luck=yes. The same thing happened.

I now think that there must be something else in the save file that "remembers" lucky nations was turned on and that it was historical (because it is always the same nations). Does anyone know what this trigger is and if it is possible to disable it. I am not that far into my game (80 years) but I would like to disable this feature as I think it makes the game too boring and predictable.

I am playing EU3 IN with patch 3.1 if it helps.
