For Vengeance and Glory - An Irish Struggle
For M2TW, Stainless Steel 6.1 (Kingdoms) at VH/VH difficulty.

I am playing as Ireland fighting off the English.

The darkest times of the Irish Kingdom are at hand, with the death of the king's son, the prince goes out on a trip of vengeance and the traitors become sacrifices in his crusade - The darkness that threatened to take over Domnall the prince has now completely taken over, as Sean - His single pillar of support and his brother, is gone from his life. The darkest time of the Irish Kingdom as at hand, and a slaughter ensues...
The only question remains; Who's next?

Games: Rome: Total War and Medieval 2: Total War

    Mod: Europa Barbarorum

Difficulty: M/M (for roleplay; this is not a game-centric AAR)

    Faction: Pontus

This story begins in the crumbling city of Constantinople. An determined Turkish army, led by Mehmed II, prepare to overrun it's walls. John and Godwin, the English Crusaders, fight desperately to fulfill their God-given duty, though they know the situation to be hopeless.

But in the midst of this trial, John stumbles upon an extraordinary find: a written history of the conquests of Pontus! What was their story?

In this Multi-AAR, you will follow both the first-hand account of the fall of the Byzantine Empire, and the written account of two Galatian men caught up in growth of a great ancient empire.

    Excerpts from both narratives:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I heard a shrill, bone-chilling yell. Suddenly, about 15 men sprang from the rubble of what had been just another empty street.

One of our assailants came screaming towards me, his scimitar raised above his head and ready to strike. I ran him through with my trusty sword. For a moment my eyes fixed upon his. He had a shocked look on his face; shocked, yet confident of his reward for death in battle against the infidel. I almost envied him.

    ...

My mind whirled through a million thoughts all at once. Is this the end? Well, why not? It might as well be today, rather than tomorrow. I saw my own dear wife, my children, scenes from my childhood pass before my eyes. What a strange thing to think in the midst of battle, and so far away.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mithridates’ chariot barreled into the city. The king glanced over the rows of huts, then faced Cambyses.

“Leave the dead defenders out in the streets. Next, form a small troop of men and set fire to a few houses, including the chieftain’s longhouse. I should think about ten huts, chosen at random, should suffice…”

Mithridates continued giving orders. Cambyses was shocked for a moment. He knew his king to be a cold and calculating man on the battlefield; such things were required of a man of war. But this?

For the first time, Cambyses dared: he questioned his king. He knew that it would be but a small matter for the king to have him beheaded, nevertheless, he knew he must.

    “But, my liege, surely-“

Mithridates cut him off immediately. “It is as the times demand. You will follow your king’s orders.”

And that was that. Cambyses hesitated for a moment.

“Conscience, or duty? “ He asked himself.

Thanks to the staff for making this possible. I'm fairly new to the AAR forum, but this is a good way to get the name of the story out, and get some feedback as well.

Two of Finnáir’s thugs burst through the stout wooden door. The room was completely silent. It had been hours since they had beaten the Celt, and although it was still night, it would start to become light very soon.

    It was absolutely silent.

“Where’d that pig go?” said one. Eyebrows raised, the other said nothing and shook his head gently, scanning the room for any sign of him. At first it was nothing… but then a rumbling grew… faster and faster…

    RTW:ROP & RTW:PI & RTW:EB
    Faction(s):

    1. Persia
    2. Rome

    Difficulty:
Varries from mod. I only used hard or v.hard settings so far.
Description: History of men is a project unlike any other. It tries to write the whole spectrum of history in a single AAR. It goes back to the Rise of Persia around 550BC and will see the rise and fall of the roman empire (current status) and continue through medieval times to the discovery of america, modern times and world wars. It is written less in a narrative form, but rather as a compilation of fictional historical sources.

    Teaser:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Campanian rider: "Alright men. We don’t have enough time to talk this trough. But if we win this one, we can all go home to Rome. Trumpeter, give the sign to charge. The man who kills Carthalo will enter Rome as a rich man."

The battle on the left flank is about to be decided. Both sides charge.

    Game: Vanilla RTW
    Faction: Germania.
    Settings: Very Hard/Hard
Description (of the most recent events): Something approaches, a storm is enclosing, the enemy is near. Trapped in a political mudpit the Germanics will be forced to decided between two things: Stop their war with Gaul or face the rising power of Rome and all her armies. But no one has alerted the threat of the Dacian horde nearer and nearer to the eastern borders. Can Hariulfus prepare his men for battle in time?. And in the North the King is unaware of all of this as he is preparing to drive the Britons all the way back to the ocean.

    Teaser:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The army had marched for two days now, with little or no rest, the wolves had scattered the remains of Sennianus army on their path towards the Briton town, finally at midday they spotted it on the distance. A familiar horn greeted Etelgis arrival, a loud powerful horn that was heirloom of the Royal Family. A huge camp surrounded the Briton town; it was under siege. King Ariogaisus had arrived.

Little did he know, little did everyone know of the huge Dacian force that was marching its way up to Vicus Marcomanni.

Alex Redmond had been looking forward to this day. Jeff Daily, the old manager, was retiring. For Alex, his deputy and now replacement, this was his first managerial post. The thirty-four year old was excited to say the least. Eddie Mitchell, the team’s chairman, was there to greet Alex as he pulled up in his old Ford Mondeo. Outside the small Avenue Stadium where the club play their home games, the affable chairman offered his hand.
