it breaks the games. you end up with tons of useless oil and no energy for the economy.

try playing Afghanistan and explain to me why they would waste energy to make oil when they don't have a single motorised unit. it should be a technology to research, you can hardly make oil today and they can all do it in 1936? you kidding me?

Erm, some countries have excess energy anyways? Try the United soviet socialist republics.

Try Norway, (this is before we got oil, after all!) we have 0 oil. All my oil, I get from Venezuela, USA and Mexico. and even then I don't stockpile "oil".

On the other hand, I dont really need oil, I only got one armored brigade after all.
