    Icon10 problem with new faction ...

    hello ...
    i have changed milan faction to syrian sultan and it works fine ... but :
    1 - in strategy map the flags of the cities and castles and armies is for milan and i can not change it .

    2 - in any menu and in the battlefield i can not change milan name to syrian sultan .

    3 - when i start the campign with milan faction ( syrian sultan ) the advisor still talk to me as milan faction ... i want to stop it and change the way the characters talking to make them talk like egyptions characters .

    4 - in strategy map i can not change the icon of milan .

    5 - i have tried to add more provinces in the map with GeoMod_0.5.26 but i cant not do it ... is there any other way ?

    6 - in strategy map how can i make roads with the new provinces ?

    1. See this tutorial. As the name says, it explains everything about strat map banners.

    2. You might be looking for expanded.txt in the data\text folder which defines the strings used on most of the menu. There's also menu_english.txt in the same folder.

    3. The portrait is handled by culture in data\ui\*culture*\ with advisor stratmap.tga and advisor battlemap.tga files. I'm not sure where the advisor audio is defined, but it probably ties into culture as well, so try making the culture middle_eastern in descr_sm_factions.txt.

    4. Which icon are you referring to? Some of them are defined in the menu\symbols\ folder for all the button logos. The 'logos' are defined in the SD files, there's a tutorial about adding logos here.

    5. I'd recommend asking in the Geomod thread and better explaining your problem. You can always edit the regions by hand, it's not that difficult and requires just a few files, a quick forum search should bring up a tutorial for adding regions.

    6. Not sure what you mean. Just give the province a road building, it automatically pathfinds roads from one settlement to another based on the most direct unimpeded route as defined in the map files.

    5. You might have to get a handle on Geomod first. Validating your entries is vital.
    Usually you simply click 'new' in the 'Region' tab, draw your region and place the settlement in the 'community' sub tab. Validate and you are done.
