    Default Brightworks Mod 2.0 released!

    Brightworks Mod 2.0

    Brightworks is a mod that fixes many of the inconsistencies with models not rendering properly, units Ui not matching, and a few texture fixes. The Mod overall cleans up many of the small discrepancies with the units and gives vanilla Empire a refined look.

    What the mod fixes

    General's Model - This is were the general's model would change as you zoom the camera.
    Ranger's Model - Model would switch to a different unit as you zoomed in.
    Organ Gun Model - Organ gun was missing a wheel and disappeared when you zoom the camera out.
    64 pounder cannon - Cannon no longer disappears when the camera zooms out.
    Long Riflemen Model - Unit now matches ui.
    Minutemen Model - Unit now matches ui.
    Ottoman General - Fixed bodyguard unit so it has the proper body guards.
    Guerrillas - Replaced model and Ui with the settler unit.
    Spanish Rebels - Unit now matches ui.
    Cazadores Model - Replaced model and ui with the model CA intended to.
    Line Infantry ui for all factions - Fixed Ui so it matches the model.
    Siberian Hunters Ui - Fixed ui so it matches the model.
    Cossack Cavalry Model - Replaced model with the right one.
    Ottoman Nizam y Cadet Texture - Fixed texture so the unit matches the Ui.
    Maratha Lancer Model - Fixed model so it doesn't change as you zoom the camera in and out.
    Native India Cavalry Model - Replaced model with the right one.
    Ski Troops - Sweden can now recruit ski troops.
    Native American Musket and Bowen - Unit no longer disappears when you zoom the camera out.
    Pondour Unit - Gave unit the correct officer it was originally using a test officer.
    Muslims Unit- Now have the proper unit icon.
    Irish Brigade - Ui corrected to reflect the proper color of their jacket.
    Janissary Cemaat Unit - Info mask created to display proper faction color.

    Notes/Features/Credits:

    There is a read me in the DL for installation instructions
    Compatible with patch 1.5
    Uses a script so it does not effect muliplayer.
    Feel free to use any of this work in your mod.

    Would it be within the scope of this mod to correct the horrible sprite problem? I beleive that LOD4's are kicking in when LOD3 should be displayed and also sometimes LOD3's when LOD2 should be displayed.

    Are you running a texture mod? I don't get that issue, I have my settings maxed out.

    No, I get this in Vanilla too. Mates of mine also tell me they don't see it, but many others do, so I don't know whats going on. I get it on both my Nvidia powered PC's though and its really annoying. Textures are Ultra so it shouldn't be that. Possibly resolution related, I'm running 1680x1050.

    I've probably said this before in the other thread, but this is really outstanding work. Amazing how such details can make a big difference. Well done

    looks amazing, but is there a reason tha tminutemen do not have tricorn hats?

    That's the model vanilla uses, I just created a new ui for them. I am looking at giving them the tricone in the next version though.

    I was looking everywhere for an organ gun fix. Its sad that CA releases things so incomplete especially when they expect us to pay extra money for them.

    Indeed

    I will be putting a 2.0 version together soon that uses a script and should not effect multiplayer, it also will have proper fixes for the spanish rebels, minutemen, and long riflemen thanks to Ahiga.

    Excellent mod, but I'm having a small issue with it, in my USA campaign, the unit of line inf you get at the start has the new UI image, yet any recruited units still have the normal one, and strangely also have different stats :v

    Is there anything i could try to fix this, or do the UI changes just dont apply to campaigns? In custom games it uses the correct new image for line infantry

    It could be the colonial version, they have different stats and have their own slot for ui. Can you post a screen shot, so I can see what your talking about it may be something I can fix and put in version 2.0.

    I have a GForce GTS 280.

    I also use the same 1680x1050.
