    Default Changing UnitTraining Cost

Quick question here: I’ve been playing around with the TrainingUnits VnV, which as I understand it affects the cost of military units trained by a governor.
Coding in an Effect such as: TrainingUnits 4—causes a decrease in the cost. However, coding this in: TrainingUnits –3—causes no effect at all. In short, is there a way to increase unit costs based on a governor’s traits?

Does anyone have ideas on this?

If the negative value does not give the desired result, it seems: no.

It would also be pointless to further work on that topic because when you had a governor that has a negative bonus for recruitment the player would simply drag him out before raising units.

Workaround: Raise all recruitement costs by the desired value, for example, 25%, and make a trait that gives a 25% bonus. That way recruitment would be normal for all characters that have this trait, while the others would have the malus (that way also not much cheating possible for the player: either your governor has that bonus or you have to pay the extra 25%).

Yeah, I understand your reasoning. Still, seems strange--almost every other vnv will accept the negative numbers.

Several things have a minimum value of "0", for example Command, Piety and the like. Seems recruit bonus belongs to that (may be for the above reasons).
