Missing yet another file...

It seems I am now missing the preferences.txt and folder (Yes, I have run the game multiple times now, it has not appeared) and I desperately want to disable these banners. Would it be reasonable for someone to upload their preferences folder or a new preferences folder so I may use it on my own?

I doubt if it would do you any good as if the game is not creating it then it certainly won't read one put there.

Have you changed your folder options to 'how hidden files and folders'? If you are using Vista have you looked in the 'virtual store'? If you don't know what that is have a read of the first and last links in the first post in this thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=167821

I figured this out, actually...

What happened was, aparrently, one of my old modfolders is now holding the preferences and saves folders only. And this modfolder affects RS, not that old mod that obviously can no longer be played. So I just use the preferences in there and it seems to work.
