    Default Bad Habbits

I recently switched from vanilla to SS, and i must say that ive highlighted a large number of bad habbits (most trivial but still...) ive developed and gotten worse with every release in the series. Having come back to medieval until CA has sorted out Empire i have started to notice these, even more so when i started SS.

For example heres a list of my bad habbits, incurred due to bad AI

    1. campaign army positioning, i used to be able to win most engagements at a whim so and therefore not care where the armys where positioned on the campaign map. Now i find myself moving army to safe positions, or making sure the reinforments are in the same side as the rest of the army.
Learnt that the hard way when i had three armys come on from three sides and got individually attacked and eliminated one at a time.

    2. Taxes, used to leave them on low and forget about them but now finding myself tight on the old taxes when at war

Just wondering if anyone else has any bad habbits that they have had to unlearn at great cost due to previous games.

I unlearned the art of "horse archer" victories, to be sure... I used to play as Turks or Mongols, bring horse archers and generals to a siege and wait for a sally then shoot, shoot, shoot then charge, follow them into the gatehouse, capture it with generals, then grab the plaza with fast horse archers while their troops chase general... don't try it. The horse archers get hit by towers then caught by infantry and the generals get shot to pieces as the AI always have missile units.

^ And while you siege your supplies might finish, but in vanilla this doesn't exist so it's a good tactic.

One of the bad habits I had to shake off is leaving "safe" coastal cities virtually undefended. The AI really likes to send troops via ship which never happened to me in vanilla. Now I have to keep a garrison nearby to fight off those damned vikings lol.

Yes, I love that feature about this mod. Catches you off guard.

I can't steamroll like in the vanilla version.

not only I feel like my armies need to stop and rest only after conquering like a few provinces with a different religion, but also i feel its harder to keep those cities.

I also, its a lot harder since I cant retrain my armies due to the difference in religion

so in enemy territory, i end up relying on mercenaries that drain my coffers, presenting me with more problems.

now, my campaigns need an amry of priests to go along with them and also an army of spies to sniff out all the spies that seem to remain in conquered cities, briging civil disorder.
