    Default Roman campaign question

Hello, I tried to search for the answer to my question but only found frustration. Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere. Here it goes. I want to start playing RTW again after a couple year hiatus. Previously, I played RTR and then EB but stopped because of real life. To get back into things, I want a mod that still has the Roman civil war or senate in it but also improves the game and factions. It seems like XGM-XC may be the mod for me. However, I cannot really find a straight answer on the civil war question but I have read a few posts that indicate it does have a civil war. So does XGM-XC have the Roman civil war in it? Also, how is the Senate implemented - similarly to vanilla? Thanks!

If you are looking for a vanilla senate, then unfortunately, Extended Cultures is not for you. One side of the mod does use a senate, but it is implemented for Carthage, not Rome. The civil war message will come up when any of Gaul, Rome, and Carthage go to war with each other, but they are not allied at the beginning the vanilla Roman houses.

Thanks but from July 15th 2009, what does this post mean?

I believe in XC and XGM, the Roman civil war is a provincial campaign
based on when Caesar crossed the Rubicon.

Yes, that is a provincial campaign based on Caesar crossing the Rubicon and battling against Pompey. It doesn't contain a Senate.
