no changes really other than the latest patch is already applied and I added a launcher that enables the intro movie as it launches the game

Best advice is here to rename the former chivalry folder, so you will install it fresh.

why the background has changed ,instead of chiv i have this plain vanilla background

I know this redundant, but new players coming on line everyday I thought I should share this.

I had a CTD after I installed this mod. However, I fixed it by going into "Preferences," doing a search for "Autosave" and changing it from "true" to "FALSE." It's run fine ever since.

For newcomers, the Autosave function RTW has always had CTD issues.

... because of the included intro-video, which obviously doesn't work without the vanilla background.

Rick, thanks for the hint. Seems some have crash issues, and some have not with RTW-autosave active or inactive.
It's correct, the disabled autosave can be a prevention to decrease the possible random RTW-crash-probability.

And anyway, the preferences.txt (and Options menu settings) should be customised by every player.

Why yes I am, thanks! BTW -I also put together the latest FreeSpace SCP Offline Installer and DVD kits a couple of mnths ago or so..

I need to get back over to those guys and help them update the TBP DVD with the latest stuff but I'm just so busy with TW projects right now. (I keep my fingers in a lot if pies)

This is one of the best mods I´ve ever seen. It´s really a fabulous work, and a "must have" for every Total War player, and an example for modders. Fantastic!

Nice to hear this from apparently new players - i hope there will be some heirs in future to my style of the historical-realism mod design, what shall offer/support a merely historical play with that special kind of immersion.
