It is, you see, a rather symbolic occurrence. I wouldn't laugh if I were in your shoes. Or anyone's.
Make sure that your soul is in good order, that's my advice.
Just as many cite the existence of God through coincidences. (I said "let there be rain", and God gave me rain.)
Some could argue that the non-existence of god is chock full of coincidences.(which it is, the scenario in question being a terribly horrific, but incredibly ironic one.)
Or you could just ignore God altogether![]()
analysis:
when God answered his prayers, the ingrateful man went to a false god's temple to give his thanks
he was then struck down for his insolence.
and who was this God?
why, it was ganesh who answered his prayer
Or perhaps God thought: see this guy is really a good believer. Let's spare him worse experiences.
Or else, it means nothing.
Who knows.
You think you were joking, but you have just made a very insightful post (unknowingly).
This is not about causal correlations, but about correlations in meaning.
Crushed to death for hugging a huge stone idol as a colourful way of being grateful. Ironic for one who genuinely believes he is following Abraham and the Prophets, certainly it is.
And how exactly is this proof that God does not exist, OP?

It remains to be seen if he realized he was doing something wrong. Generally, the altar is not an idol but a place where the presence of God is supposed to reside during mass (incorporeally and symbolically).
The person is question is dead, I guess it is rather unkind to speculate on his earthly merits now.

One has to pray in some direction, as I suspect you know.
I am though glad that to a degree we can concur.

There's no evidence suggesting that the cause of the statue's collapse is due to supernatural means.
I firstly suspect poor workmanship or simply age of the structure.

The obvious lesson is, regardless of how strong your faith is, to pay attention to large, heavy objects on the verge of falling on you.
Why is it that mysteries are always about something bad? You never hear there's a mystery, and then it's like, "Who made cookies?"

It's just unlucky, I suppose.

Well, what do these guys who make random occurances to be proof of god say now? Is it random or a sign from god this time?![]()
