After hearing news of a possible remake, I concluded to make this thread. This is one of my favorite movies and rock operas of all time. I created this thread for discussion about all things JCS. The original movie or the 2000 version? Gillian or Neeley? Here are some videos from the '73 movie:

Is that 1973 version the one where the Roman Guards have MP40's lol? I love that.

I have always loved most of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals (Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph, etc. excluding Cats lol). You know he must be doing right when he essentially turns Jesus into a 1970's singing porn star and it's corny as hell but still good. I really hope they do make a remake, perhaps it could bring back musicals, then again they have said that with every musical since musicals died out.
