    Default Samaritan problem

Hey, I am currently playing on my Bactrian campaign and countered a major problem. During the first few years of turns, a large stack of Samaritan horde appeared out of no where. They includes about 14 horse archers, and 2 kataphracts. They first appeared South below of the impassable mountain range and then travel southwest towards Parthian lands without threats to my lightly guarded city. Merv. However, I took that as a threat and wiped out the stack (had to use auto resolve, killing them is impossible with phalanxes...).

After a couple more years, this time, a small stack pops out. About 3 horse archers and a khataphract... So i was wondering, hmm, the Huns anyone?

Oh and also, what would happen if you are playing the Samaritan campaign. Would a nice stack miraculously pops out also? Will they also be under your command?

That's supposed to be a script to challenge the Bactrian player with nomadic armies, but the Sarmatian AI can't pull it off. I think I need to just give up on it.

For the record, that doesn't happen for the human player anymore. It tended to cause all kinds of problems for the human.

Just keep it there. It does work sometimes, from my tests. I would say that if there were a few more regions over there, a script may not even be needed, in fact.

Really? Interesting. Where would you recommend adding regions?

The nature of the nomads is to appear and disappear suddenly and without any warning. in your case i don't think that it is a problem, that faction is just set to do what it does best. Hit and run warfare.

Well, basically if there was a cluster of three or so Sarmatian-controlled regions to the north of Bactria, and you give Sarmatia a decent money script so they don't go bankrupt, they will most likely cause some problems for the Bactrians. There were tribes there, but apart from the Massagetae and the Saka Haumovarka I can't think of any others at the moment. But there were more.

You think so? Ok, I'll give that a try. I'm out of regions, so I'll have to screw with the map for a bit to get it to work. Oh, well, I was planning on doing that anyway.
