    Icon5 Princesses and Incest

I know that this is possible through hex editing a savegame (I've seen it done), but I can't seem to find any read-me's on hex editing and so forth. If there is any, can someone provide a link?

Now, to the point: is there a way to remove the marriage restrictions on princesses? I think the possibility of a princess being able to marry her brother or nephew/uncle of the same faction's family tree would be neat and exciting.

"Interesting" is the right word. Didn't know there were any restrictions. I have married my princesses within the family tree but haven't tried to keep a brother unmarried until the sister is of age.
Might be interesting to fix something like that and try. And perhaps script some traits accordingly?

There already are some incest based traits. The 'Inbred' trait has 6 levels, each with a description that shows they are getting more and more inbred. Though the only way to get this trait is to have the character's father possess this trait or a 2% chance when your character comes of age. Unsure how to link it to a marriage between close relatives (possibly a trait that requires the faction heir / leader and one of your faction's princesses).

Could you create a "family member" trait which does nothing, other than trigger upon birth (so not adoption or lesser_adoption), so there are no benefits, but 2+2 = 4?

I'm not sure exactly where you want to head with this, but sure, it's possible. Just use CharacterComesofAge as your WhenToTest event, and code from there.

I think Vaz wants a trait that occurs at birth but won't show any effect unless you have several levels of this trait. This should be possible it you set the Threshold to a number higher than '1'.

Alternatively you could have multiple hidden traits which will give any character that possesses them a trait.

It's already possible for princesses to marry extended family members. That is, they can marry their uncle, cousin, and conceivably nephews. I never tried nephews, so i'm not entirely sure about that.

I also wonder if it's possible to have princesses to marry their own brothers via some form of modding though.

I have not even read what this thread is about! but my first thought is tell the TATW team should know about this cause princesses and incest sounds like the beginnings of some real "Goblins and Ghouls" offspring, the makings of Mor`dor` lo!
