Do you think this game should have Cheat Codes?
If so, what cheat codes do you expect to find in this game?

I don't like cheating and i never use them. However i would like to see the return of the toggle_fow!
Hi all.
I always wonder why people wants cheatcodes. If it is because they are unable to beat the game on easy/easy, I say get rid of the game and try something else instead. If it is because they wants to beat the game on VH/VH but want put in the effort, I say get rid of the game and try something else instead. Like chess or bridge. Cheat codes are for losers. Other wise, use a mod instead.

I hope there wont be cheats!! They are just waste of time.

Why don't they have a Prussian Flag instead of German
I don't really care if they are in or not.
I don't cheat because I have no need for it but on the other hand I can't see why cheats couldn't be included. If someone wants to use them - fine. It is their way of playing the game and the only thing that matters is if they're having fun.
And it doesn't limit people that do not want to cheat at all. You simply don't have to use them so I see no problem there.

In M2TW I sometimes used cheats in hard times. Empire prevents me from this and I hope it won't be in N:TW.
I dont know how long you have been playing the Total War games, but I have never know for a Total War game to be able to use cheat codes. You have never been able to cheat in the Total Wars by using cheat codes.
Just to let you know!![]()
Anyway, i would never use them!![]()
Formally known as 'Marshal Beale' - The Creator the Napoleon TW mods - 'Napoleon Order of War' and 'Revolution Order of War'
I used to like to give enemy factions money when they were losing in a war, so as to try to counter one AI faction steamrolling everyone while I try to conquer historically. But in Empire that doesn't really seem to be as much of an issue as previous games, so I don't really have any use for cheats then.
Forget the Cod this man needs a Sturgeon!
<shrug> Past a certain point anyone can beat the game. So, you start changing it. Like in M2TW, make Ireland playable, edit the home provinces a bit, start out with a bit of extra cash (which is easier to do w/console commands) and set yourself a goal to conquer all Roman Empire territories or defend civilization against the Timurids.
Another quick game-change is to select a harder difficulty but give yourself an early cash boost. Total war games tend to be more difficult in the early years. An initial cash pop flattens out the time/difficulty curve.
Console commands or "cheats" aren't evil, and beating the game isn't virtuous. And editing ETW/NTW files directly is a bit harder than it used to be. <shrug again>
The cheat console was great when testing out the effects of small modding, or when I grew bored not having middle eastern factions reach central europe.
Not historical, but definitely more fun.
A HUGE fan of the Stainless Steel mod for m2 kingdoms. Thank you to all the modders!
All I used was good old toggle_fow just to see where everyone is.
