    Default greek sacred band

I love everything about this mod except the the look of the greek sacred band. Does anyone know any alternative skins that are compatible with this mod and are easy to install or how to change the colour of the existing one?. Any help is appreciated, cheers!.

Really? I think the gsb looks great.

    Skins can be found here:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=24

I just managed to replace my hoplite skin with one from this KLA pack: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2002

This is how you do it. Unzip the skin you chose on desktop.

Locate these files for the greek sacred band in xgm data folder:

    in data\models_unit: these 4 files: unit_greek_sacred_band_high.CAS, unit_greek_sacred_band_low.CAS, unit_greek_sacred_band_lowest.CAS, unit_greek_sacred_band_medium.CAS

    in data\models_unit\textures: the file UNIT_GREEK_SACRED_BAND_GREEK.TGA

    in data\UI\unit_info\greek_cities the file GREEK_SACRED_BAND_INFO
    in data\UI\units\greek_cities the file GREEK_SACRED_BAND

Every time you locate one of the files copy the text of the file name (not the file itself) and replace the name of the corresponding file (you can easily tell by the names/extensions) of the skin you downloaded. Then copy the renamed file to replace the original. That's it! (before you start though backup the XGM data file somewhere just to be safe).

Note: in my case the download gave me only one CAS file so I renamed same file 4 times to replace each original CAS file. Also no sprites files so I left these alone. Despite all that, it worked.

    Hope I helped, good luck!

Cheers for that. Ive been experimenting with a few different units, ive even taken a few units from different mods. I didnt realise it was that simple

I overlooked one complication. If you change the gsb files you should also change the UI files for the independent greeks (they are filed as ROMANS_BRUTII). They can also recruit the gsb though the unit shares the tga and cas files with the greeks' gsb. In general whenever you reskin remember to adress all factions that recruit the unit in question.
    Cheers!

PS: One final observation: some different units share models files (CAS) though use a different textures file (TGA). E.g. syracusan and bactrian hoplite or thorakite and marines, I would think. In that case changing the CAS files would affect all of them.
