Hi Guys,
Just started to play my first game of RS, I must say that this mod is bloody impressive to say the least. This is my favourite history subject, the Greeks and the Romans. I still love RTW very much and this mod was naturally of interest. I have used another RTW mod, which kept CTD, all the time, but this looks to be stable.
I decided after much consideration to start as Syracuse, going to play it by the house rules as much as possible. I am not going to molest Carthage and those ghastly Romans for some time, so they can build themselves.
The units are impressive and look great.
So anybody got handy hints for playing as Syracuse?

well Roma surrectum is sort of aimed towards Rome guys like me. I mean, they have an awesomely fun legion system, with different, all beautiful, legions from different places. but as sycrus, I would immediately grab the boot toe of italy and the rest of the island, followed by corsica and sardinia.

Secure the island first then just build op your economy/ infrastructure. Make trade agreements with everyone and some alliances here and there

Securing the Sicily is a must. Then you may want to conquer the free poeple' regions in western Greece. They should provide aa nice income when developed a litlle bit.
