    Default Civil War

Oh... to date I believed that „civil war“ means the epic battle against the legions of the senate and the occupation of Rome (hopefully). But now I read in this forum that there are certain points of time in the campaign upon which my own troops are going to rebel against their “brothers”. How many times occurs this happening in a campaign? Are only stacks with family members / generals affected or even stacks with captains? I understand that only troops led by your faction leader/faction heir are absolutely safe of mutinity…

If you play by house rules, every legion must have a commander ie family member. Should happen once, and yes everybody except for leader and heir can rebel so you be fighting your own troops yes.!

I sometimes get a message like "the Julii started the civil war" or something like that ... but nothing else happens in my turn accordingly. What does this mean? With the unit add-on I started a new campaign. I´m now in the year 212 BC and this message appeared two times as yet.

It happens when the AI attack eachother namely through ships. Its because they all share a same attribute that allows them to be passive. Hence the message. I would have liked to have Alex's method but the string for it is broke so I never used that game for a Port over.

The message is harmless and probably CAN be removed with alot of work, but you have to edit the RIGHT files.

I think we can survive with the current state. Ignoring the message helps and is far less work-demanding
