Default City = SLOW framerate, can't fix

    Hey

Stupid me, i've installed different Forceware drivers (nvidia display)

Now since then I get that extremely slow framerate when looking to city center, AND sometime other places.

Since then i've tried 7 different drivers from very dif. time periods. But i just cant get rid of it and get slow fps every few battles. Also different driver updates and pc cleaning

Can someone confirm a Forceware version which definitively helped ?

    Thanks....

    (MTW2 still rocks over ETW)

Use this http://downloads.guru3d.com/Driver-C...nload-745.html to clean house. You have to use it in safe mode.
Then try a set of drivers.

Sry, I already use Driver Cleaner since years. Always uninstalling properly before installing new drivers.s

I was rather hoping you could tell me which driver exactly FIXES the problem.

I even keep log, because.. its forceware !
I also have actually a 50% chance if Medieval2 even starts ! Because the other 50% aborts with random memory messages. I had this already.... No idea how i got rid of it before, now its back. When its not working, I must reboot pc and try again, sometimes 3x

    93.71_forceware_winxp2k_english_whql = slow desktop mouse
162.65_quadro_winxp2k_english_whql = seems working so far, serious sam 2 seems slow !
175.16_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql = sluggish desktop mouse. What the heck ?!
169.96_quadro_winxp2k_english_whql = probably was my 'previous' driver, shows only 69.96 NO SUPPORT !
93.81_forceware_winxp2k_english = ok... but Medieval 2 SLOW fps sometimes continue. Re-check if this happens in Vanilla ! Medieval 2 crashes alot (unspecified), likely caused by driver.
91.85_quadro_winxp2k_english_whql = it was okay.. but ME2 crash persist
94.24_forceware_winxp_international_whq = Desktop Mouse slow ! note if only at 60Hz for every driver ?

none of these drivers definetively removed the problem. I dont know if thers even one i left out trying ?

Please post your dxdiag. I believe it's deeper then drivers, including dirt, heat, copy protection, card dying, for starters.

Have to include the fact that I'm currently suffering a slow mouse !
The Mouse behaves normally, expect that 60% of the movement frames are "cut".. makes the movement feel very ugly ! (only desktop, games are fine)
This IS reported caused by the Nvidia Driver (again) But I can't pin point the exact reason.

This appeared since about the same time as these low fps at random battles, game start up crashed (excerption failed XXXXXXXX079 etc)
There is a clear connection between all these problems.

Believe me, I tried everything basic to advanced

Did you consider a full reinstall ?
    I would do that .
