    Default Help with Unit_models folder

I used the unpacker to extract all the packs files but somehow the "unit_models" folder is always missing, I unpacked 6 times now and still no unit_models folder. I need the "battle_models.modelbd" to edit my units but since no unit_models folder is present I can't.

So, I'm asking if someone could help me with this problem or put their "unit_models" folder online so I can get it .

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: I am using Windows 7 Pro

It's not allowed to upload unmodified files here. Try re-installing would be my first suggestion, and if that doesn't work then make a custom batch file to unpack only the .mesh and .texture files.

    Reinstalling doesn't seem to work.

Can you explain to me how to create such a custom batch file or direct me to a thread or tutorial.

I was thinking about downloading a mod thats only "lightly" modded so as I can savage their "unit_models" folder.

If you only need the models db - there are actually legitimately posted formatted versions around eg
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...91#post2200891
    and http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=1180
(not sure which of them, if any, is current version though...)

as the models.db on its own is pretty much unintelligible - the vanilla versions were modified, to re-format them to useable composition - hence != unmodified files - even if you do get yours to unpack you'll still need to get to formatted version to be able to mod it practically

Edit: I am using Windows 7 Pro
does that do silly stuff like vista and put things you try and copy into program_files folder into a temporary version instead? you might be unpacking OK but it's sending things to 'safe zone'?

    EDIT:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=196382
looks like later version of the formatted model db's

I need the whole folder, I tried to make a new folder and named it "unit_models" and put the renamed models db but my modifications didn't take effect.

Ya Windows 7 does do that but I just click compatibility files and I can see all the extracted files just not the "unit_models" folder.
Guess I have to stick with EDU modding, but I really like to fool around with the models db again....

Btw, does anyone know how to make armoured horses run as fast as fast pony?
