A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.
A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
,i vote my country
actualy, serbia has many folklores, but the one from my region of sumadija,is my favourite.
now there's a vote,but no balkans ?wtf,you have like 1000000000 folklores there![]()

VISIT CHILE!
No option for folklore from the USA? No love for Paul Bunion I guess...
Since I've only been exposed to Western Folklore, whether it be American, English, German, Irish, French, etc. I don't feel I would be able to make an eduacted choice. Most people here are going to vote for their own country because 1) They know its folklore best and 2) nationalism (which is perfectly fine)
I voted Norse but I'm a US citizen![]()
The Jagdpanzer IV was a tank destroyer developed against the wishes of Heinz Guderian. Its large gun and heavy frontal armor led to poor mobility and made them difficult to operate in rough terrain, leading their crews to nickname them Guderian Ente; Guderian's Duck.
I can never understand how 'Balkanians' can be so warlike, but their traditional dress makes them look like effeminate pussies.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...

"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

In lieu of a Greek option, I chose the Norse. They're stories and myths are very earthly and relatable and AWESOME at the same time. That doesn't happen very often

Vive le Québec libre! Vive la Wallonie libre! Vive la francophonie!
I chose Polynesian, because it's close enough to Maori.
I've always had a soft spot for it.
I guess you can't argue about taste.

actualy balkan folklore is one of the "better"(if one can define which folklore is better).
i can talk about serbian because that's the one i know most.it's interesting that Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and the Grimm brotherslearned serbian language,in order to read serbian epic poetry, which they considered one of the best in the world![]()
I don't believe there is a "best" folklore; there are just folklores you know more or less. For instance, I don't know anything about polynesian folklore, but I'd be willing to bet they've got all it takes for a rich folk culture -- music, dress, stories, myths, you name it.
I have a feeling that Irish and Norse folklore are getting more votes simply because people are more familiar with them. Irish and Norse folk themes are very popular and widely used; but this doesn't mean they are "richer" or "better".
So I just voted for my country. No disrespect intended towards all the other great cultures out there.
