I would like my republican legions back

i inadvertently triggered the Marian reforms, and i would still like to use my republican armies for another decade or two; i realize they're still there, but losing the ability to retrain them makes it very hard to do this. is there a console command for retraining? or what can i .txt edit to make them available again? thanks.

There isn't console command to retrain and i don't think you can go back, only way you can prevent marian reforms from happening is to load saved game b4 reforms were triggered, tho you could manually create units and disband old ones that would be kinda similar to retraining.

Use a cheat, and wait the turns until they would of been retrained. 9 at a time.

no, not 9 at a time, in italy i could easily retrain my whole army in 1 turn, just divide em in 3 cities then bring em back together.

i guess i will be going with the spawn unit console command. or just give it up altogether.
i'm trying to roughly emulate the punic wars, but i left carthage alone for way too long.
