[WIP] A Scandinavian Total War - We are recruiting

We could use pretty much everything (except mapping...), but researchers, modellers, coders and 2D-artists are most important at the time.

King of Norge: Sigurd Munn (Sigurd Haraldsson, 15 years old, and 12 years of experience as a king)

King of Norge: Inge Krokrygg (16 years old, have been king in 14 of them).
Wife: None.

Norway is, at the time, shadowed by a Civil War. This is covered by the Western Roman Empire as Norway, and the Western Roman Empire Rebels as the other Norway.
It’s not likely that the BI engine is going to take the Norwegian family trees, too bad for being historically accurate. Ages will have to be slightly modified.

As Valdemar den Store was the one who ruled the country alone from 1157, I think we’ll leave him as the main character. He'll be the lonely leader of a family tree, and the two others will simply be generals entitled "king".

A preview with pictures of the current map will eventually be released, but some more work needs to be done.

NOTE: Whether or not this mod is interesting to a large amount of people could be discussed, but please remember that the reason we make this mod is, as with all other mods, mainly because we want to play it ourselves. If you have no interest whatsoever in this mod, you are free to leave.

We're using three Swedish factions (ätter) - and two Norwegian eventually to show the Civil Wars that were going on here... Which will make Danmark the superpower, like they historically were. Playing as Norway or Sweden (one of the factions) the challenge will be greater, because when you're done taking full control of your own country another, greater one has to be taken. This will make the campaign more fun and more challenging. And you can always go with the relatively easier Danish campaign if you like... Danmark is the only one with decent heavy cavalry early on, too.

I wanted to have some work done before posting the WIP, because I wanted to be more certain that we actually were going to do this

One problem is that the Arn movies use Hollywoodish symbols for their factions while we use the historical versions - so they are different.
But it doesn't matter

I need some more names for the factions - I'm afraid they'll be very similar, so therefore I prefer to work with historical names for each faction... names only used by a historical character that can be pointed to.
So if anyone wants to volunteer for doing the Danmark's name list, feel free. That's the only one I haven't started with. I can post the name list I have for the other factions eventually (which isn't much), and then someone who wants to can complete it.
But if you start working on it, though, be sure to post here to avoid anyone else from doing the same work as you

I can join in as Skinner, made som swedish units from this era before, but unfortuntley a virus got them But I can make it pretty solid, just give me a model. A great place for resource is RM2, check with LoTK if its okay to lend som units. Not so very good with making symbols and that kind of crap

Just to clarify that im not a big amatuer and a decent skinner (well, little under decent ...) The only thing I miss to make a really good unit, is modelling

(everything, except helms, weapons and sheilds is mine) But I forgot some marks on the clothes, and I cant remember if these were the 14th century, or the 12th century ones

Yup.
1150 to whatever date we settle to.
I think we'll have two campaigns at least - one pretty much without a script and one scripted with a lot of historical accuracy and scripts making it harder for the player. Our goal, I think, is to make this a quite hard mod regardless of which faction you're playing - although Danmark will be easiest, that doesn't mean they're easy, if you get what I mean.
